Goku is just generally the default anime representative in powerscaling, Superman is Superman (popular), Ainz has vsbw beef, and Naruto is well...the only one with possibly a wincon

Uh, not sure about that.
Even if they want max views, they not gonna do a episode with characters that have nothing to do with each other, just for popularity.
They usually choose characters that have connections with each other.
They not gonna put Reinhard fighting with popular character just to gain more views, they would use a character that constract with Reinhard, or that are similar enough to make a fight with him.
The guys you mentioned have waaaay more better matchups to choose from than Reinhard.

Kinda shame for me.
I actually prefer Kenny vs Subaru for a episode tbh.
Just Isekai Quartet fights?
When I say connections, I mean how much this characters are similar to each other or if the fight pass the vibe check.
Uhhhhhh, 3/10.
I think they individual moveset don't clash too well.
5/10
While not bad, there's some other matchups I prefer for Shield hero.
1/10
Just no.
2/10
Connection wise and battle potential don't seem that strong for what I remember for both.
1/10
I feel like using Megumin for anything other than a joke episode or battle with her team don't work.
Garfiel huh...
5/10, if Garfiel enters the show, I prefer him to fight anyone else.
Uh Satella?
When I say "connections" I don't mean on how this characters met, or what link they might have.
I mean, how similar this characters are to each other or how they constrast in personality.
When both characters are similar enough, is more fun to see they in a Death Battle.
Without them, it would just feel like two characters fighting each other with no similarities and in a show like Death Battle, those type of matchups are big no no's.
Like, Ainz and Cid:
Both are OP Isekai Protagonists who in their original life were extremely obsessed with 1 thing in particular that they practically dedicated their entire life to it (becoming "The Eminence In Shadow" for Cid and Yggdrasil and his friends for Ainz) and once they came into the new world, they "became" for lack of a better term, the leaders of secret organizations (Shadow Garden and Nazarick) with contrasting objectives (Saving the world and taking over the world) both of them portray this persona of an obscure, wise and all-mighty being when in reality they're just winging everything as they go along, being unaware of the full situation most of the time and asking their vastly more intelligent subordinates for that help, both have other heroic personas (Shadow and Momon) that they put up and both of their organizations work mostly in the shadow.

Like, Ainz and Cid:
Subaru vs Kazuma is a matchup that does have this "connections".
Reinhard vs Superman (they both are considered the "Heroes", they are both justice loving *****, both see a bigger picture etc.)
Roswaal vs Griffith (LMFAO do i need to tell you this)
Beatrice vs Raven (Dark past, both are little girls, both deal with loneliness and issues relating to dealing with connections with people, they also have similar powers)
Emilia vs Weis Schnee/Blake Belladonna (blake also struggles with racism and identity crisis, Weiss is similar in the sense that she is protected and she is also an ice user, if i am not wrong weiss also had another ice user matchup some while ago)
Elsa vs Esdeath (Both are sadists)
Crusch Karsten vs Olivier Mira Armstrong (Both are tomboys and Strong female commanders who command immense respect and power, both characters focus on honor, dignity, leadership and battlefield prowess)
Typhon vs Nui (Both are little girls with a twisted sense, they are also both haxed)
Reid Astrea vs Escanor (Arrogant, overpowered warriors who rely on brute strength and enjoy fighting)
Garfiel Tinsel vs Inosuke Hashibira (similar fighting style based around instinctive action, both have the same VA and both are crazy *****)
Roswaal vs Dio (Immortals who **** around with people for generations )
Reinhard vs Saber (Idealistic knights who are chosen by a holy sword and embody justice.)
Uh Satella?

Maybe
Roswaal vs Hisoka
Rem vs Hinata
Garfiel tinsel vs Inosuke
Reinhard vs All Might
Elsa vs Esdeath
Wilhelm vs Guts/Jinbei/Yamamoto/kenshin...?
Ram vs Maki zenin
Reid Astrea vs Kenpachi/Maybe Escanor
That connection is kinda shallow tho.
A bunch of characters have strong sense of justice, If you change to Batman or like, Uraraka from MHA, the matchup would be the same.
This fight don't really explore neither characters arcs well.
Not that I asking super deeper connections between the characters, some matchups below have simple connections that could work.
4/10 for me.
While this is superficial as hell, seeing Julius fighting Spiderman would be cool.
Beatrice vs Raven (Dark past, both are little girls, both deal with loneliness and issues relating to dealing with connections with people, they also have similar powers)
Weiss is similar in the sense that she is protected and she is also an ice user, if i am not wrong weiss also had another ice user matchup some while ago)
White haired ice using heirs of high leadership positions, who since childhood had the problem of being hunted for things they had no part in simply due to association with those who did cause the mess that made them hated everywhere (Weiss, due to being a Schnee, was alongside members of her family frequently under threat from the White Fang despite having no part in the oppression towards Faunus her family is known for. Emilia, due to being a white haired half-elf, is treated as a social outcast and hated by everyone around her due to resembling the genocidal Satella, the Witch of Envy).
Both would acquire a supernatural companion to follow and fight for them (Weiss acquired the Arma Gigas summon and Emilia forged a contract with the spirit Puck) and, for one reason or another, they'd end up fleeing their old home due to the desolation, loneliness and suffering present there (Weiss ran away from the Schnee residence and company in Atlas due to her home and family feeling cold, lonely and harsh, and Emilia fled Elior Forest due to its desolate, dead, frozen over state, and the trauma she associates with her past in the forest).
After this, both would be taken in and fall under the tutorship and support of an immortal mage obsessed with a centuries old quest related to a black and white witch they had a romantic past with, leading to them switching bodies with every death in an attempt to bring this quest to an end (Weiss would be enrolled in Beacon Academy led by Headmaster Ozpin, real name Ozma, a centuries old reincarnated wizard at war with his immortal ex wife Salem. Emilia would be taken in and tutored by Roswaal L. Mathers, a body hopping mage obsessed with reviving his old teacher and the love of his life, the Witch of Greed Echidna).
At some point at the start of the story, both would meet the main protagonist, a klutzy and inexperienced teen who originally starts off innocent and naive but grows more mature...and traumatized...as the story goes on (Weiss met Ruby, Emilia met Subaru). At first, their relationship would start off on less than bad terms due to wrong impressions (Weiss treating Ruby as an inexperienced fool who doesn't deserve to be team leader and refusing to acknowledge her skills, and Emilia lying to Subaru about her name by calling herself Satella, causing him to scare her away after a few reincarnations due to wrong impressions).
Eventually however, they warm up to the protagonist, becoming one of their closest allies and even getting to the point of becoming their most frequent partner in romantic ships.
Both, as mentioned above, are heiresses to highly important and influential positions in their societies, with certain people being in opposition to them in a sort of competition to inherit the position (Weiss is the heiress to the highly influential and wealthy Schnee Dust Company, with her relationship with her father causing her to eventually be discarded by him in favor of Whitley. Emilia is destined to inherit the royal throne of Lugunica, being in a competition with several other Royal Candidates in a race to become the ruler).
Both are most well known for their prominent themes of ice and using ice attacks, which they primarily utilize through special summons and tools containing magical crystals that are the source of their power (Weiss uses her Glyph Semblance for a variety of effects, notably infusing elemental Dust through her rapier into them to achieve various effects. Emilia's necklace has a green crystal containing Puck, her spirit who is the big source of her ice magic).
Both also fight alongside unique summoned spiritual creatures they forged contracts with, letting them call upon them to fight by their side (Weiss' Semblance lets her summon the spirits of previously defeated Grimm to fight alongside her. Emilia, again, can summon and has a contract with Puck, a literal ice spirit).
Contrasts:
Weiss is largely serious, focused and practical, opposing Emilia who is more light hearted, joyful, peppy and welcoming.
Weiss is part of a family notorious for oppressing and treating Faunus like trash. Emilia is treated like trash due to being a half-elf. Basically one is related to the cause of racism while the other is a victim of racism.
Crusch Karsten vs Olivier Mira Armstrong (Both are tomboys and Strong female commanders who command immense respect and power, both characters focus on honor, dignity, leadership and battlefield prowess)
Garfiel Tinsel vs Inosuke Hashibira (similar fighting style based around instinctive action, both have the same VA, both are abandoned by their mother and both are crazy *****)

4/10 for me.

What's up with the commas?
The connections are okay, the problem is a complete stomp for Superman, It kinda kills my intereset.
3/10
I never read Berseker tbh, but for what I know about Griffith, this seems cool.
6/10
From teen titans?
I gonna take you word for It then, because I don't remember Raven much, so connection wise is ok.
Tho, the problem is that their moveset and how they fight are at complete odds. Their powers don't mesh at all together.
4/10
She doesn't? Or atleast, I don't know what you talking about here suffering for Identity crisis.
She did. It was against a persona character.
While Blake is kinda bad, Weiss should work tbh.

2/10 to Blake
7/10 for Weiss
Ehh, ok.
Is probally better for the actual opponent Esdeath got in her episode.
5/10
That's cool. 7/10
From Kill lá kill?
Ngl, this seems kinda superficial tbh.
4/10
Just fine enough.
6/10
The connections are okay, but the fighting potential is dope.
5/10
6/10.
Cool list.
Both are clowns I guess, but don't really mesh well for me in fight potential and everthing else..
2/10
Connection wise It works, but the fight potential for me doesn't.
4/10
Alright it seems that, since Apocalypse Girls is coming out next week, I will put off the Dark-Work Sisters' rework until after I read that.
Next up is the biggest sandbox so far, Reinhard van Astrea at 107k bytes. Since his is so big and I've tried new stuff like adding a featbox, I'd appreciate feedback; things I've gotten wrong, things I should change, things I should add, or even just pointing out typos and inconsistent terminology.
Witch: [Well, the matter of my boorish Authority is fine for now. More importantly, about your Authorityーー I believe it to be an absolute, something capable of attaining victory against all sorts of opponents, including Sekhmet.]
Aldebaran: [ーーーー]
Witch: [Oya, the look on your face appears to not believe me in the slightest. How strange.]
Aldebaran: [It’s not strange or anything of the like. In truth, I don’t believe a shred of that. Unfortunately, I don’t think you and the other Witches are such tiny hills that I could surmount them with a couple of retries, Teacher.]
To speak ill of oneself was not healthy, but he could not help but say that.
It was not as though he did not understand the Witch’s logic, but it was something akin to taking a chance that was ultimately not zero, but in essence practically zero, and deceitfully boasting that it was possible.
As two fellow living beings, if an ant fought an elephant, the chances that the ant would win were not zero, but anyone could understand that it was a chance that would not come to fruition even if given a million, no, ten billion attempts. Not to mention, in this case, the ant Aldebaran’s opponent was not an elephant, but a dragon.
Against a dragon that could breathe fire, and soar to the skies, just how could the ant emerge victorious?
Witch: [An ant would not win, certainly. I am not saying that I have disregarded reality to that extent.]
Aldebaran: [That so? Though, this space we’re in, I heard it was a failed attempt at a plan to create another world, one stretched out to be the same size as the real world…]
Witch: [I am not saying that I have disregarded reality to that extent. Hence, it would be impossible for an ant.]
The Witch resumed her words whilst ignoring the inconvenient criticism, causing Aldebaran to make a bitter face at her selfishness, as she continued “but”,
Witch: [What about if it was not an ant, but a dog? Do you not think it stands a better chance than the ant?]
Aldebaeran: […Well, compared to an ant…]
Witch: [Right? Or if you prefer, do you not get the feeling that the ant would have a shot of winning against a dog? That is to say, there is merely a gap between the ant and dog that can be overturned depending on the conditions and the methods employed. Thus, if the ant can pose a threat to the dog, then it is also possible for the dog to pose a threat to the elephant.]
Aldebaran: […I’m understanding bit by bit. Teacher, what do you want to tell me?]
Placing a hand on his chin, Aldebaran responded so, and the Witch flashed a wicked smile as if to hint that he had already gotten it. ーーThat was a gentle, pretty smile, which was precisely why its nature was something that could only be described as wicked and vile.
At the very least, whenever Aldebaran managed to draw out that smile, he would end up feeling happy.
Aldebaran: [Those methods and conditions for an ant to pose a threat to a dog, and a dog to an elephant, are what you’re teaching me, Teacher. Of course, even with those at the ready, things won’t become even between the ant and dog, or between the dog and elephant. But…]
Witch: [If the chance that neared zero can be made into one, you possess the method of turning that one into the very first one after accumulating many defeats.]
Aldebaran: [ーーーー]
Witch: [That is why, I shall deliberately bestow these words upon you. ーーThere is nobody who can beat you.]
The notion of victory against Sekhmet is actually psychotic without Aggressor of the Domain. She's closer to Satella's level than to the other Witches, she can put up a fight against Reinhard and beat Volcanica to a pulp. What a silly Authority.

Aldebaran: [Your summarization just now was just as sloppy… By the way, about your Authority, Teacher…?]
Witch: [It is an uninteresting Authority. ーーThrough “Past”, “Present”, and “Future”, I can view any event I wish to. It is truly monotonous. I spoke of Witch Factors as pestering Od Lagna, but this cannot be perceived as anything but clear pestering towards myself.]
"Blood is sometimes red" is a law of reality? Ok sure, whatever. (NSNL3)
???: [ー—Expand Territory, Matrix Redefinition.]
With that proclamation as an impetus, the rules of the world were rewritten around Aldebaran.
Originally, the world would not permit any usage that did not abide by its fixed rules.
Objects fell from up to down, sound could be heard but not seen, hot things felt hot, cold things felt cold, the color of blood was sometimes red, and a life once lost could never return. —ーThose were defined as unshakeable rules for the stable operation of the world.
With that proclamation as an impetus, the rules of the world were rewritten around Aldebaran.
Ordinarily, the world would not permit any usage that did not abide by its fixed rules.
Objects fell from up to down, sound could be heard but not seen, hot things felt hot, cold things felt cold, the color of blood was red most of the time, and a life once lost could never return. ――These were defined as unshakeable rules for the stable operation of the world.
???: [However, Witch Factors take those established laws, and bend them to the will of their possessor. Truly, a refutation of the world desiring stability… to be frank, it is fruit borne of pestering.]
Aldebaran: [Pestering…]
???: [From the perspective of Od Lagna, it must be quite unbearable, yes? Having poured in time and intent to forge those laws, only for them to be blotted over by an extremely small number of mutational variations on the whims of distorted human nature. Supposing I were to go through that same hardship, then…]
Witch: [Hm? What is it? Did you say something just now?]
Aldebaran: [Nah, I was just thinking that despite knowing that the Authorities of Witch Factors are equivalent to pestering, for you to still create this sorta space means that there’s something wrong with you, Teacher. I feel bad for Od Lagna-san.]
Witch: [Ultimately, Od Lagna is nothing more than a concept. We can presume that it has nothing in the vein of emotions, nor fixations directed towards specific individuals. Well, I suppose it was my blunder for using the term “pestering”, an expression which prescribes Od Lagna with a notion of personhood.]
Placing a finger to her lips, the Witch sighed in a manner unbefitting of self-reflection.
Despite having listened to her words, the image of a pitiful Od Lagna crying as it glared over a space with which it could not interfere did not fade from within Aldebaran.
In reality, the act of producing another world within the world was something that could only be performed by an extraordinary being like a Witch, and the thing that made a Witch a Witch was an Authority―― no, it was the key by which an Authority was manifested, a Witch Factor. For the Witch in question, without showing any diffidence, to not recognize humanity within Od Lagna, regardless of whether or not it was a conceptual entity, made him want to at least hold out a handkerchief for it to wipe its tears with. Be that as it may――,
Aldebaran: [Just like Teacher, I’m part of the side doing the pestering…]
Thinking of the Authority in his possession, Aldebaran sighed as he scratched the back of his neck.
From Od Lagna’s perspective, while it went without saying for the Witch who ran counter to the rules it had laid out, the one being tutored by that Witch, Aldebaran, would have also been considered an indisputable anarchist. No matter what Aldebaran could have said to it, it would have only ever seemed like he was trying to deceive it.
For Aldebaran, acquiring his Authority had been a matter he had no say in, so he wished to be given a break from being glared at by Od Lagna, the very will of the world itself.
Witch: [But, if you are going to use that line of logic, the same goes for the rest of us. It does not happen very often that someone takes in a Witch Factor of their own volition. The only ones who fit that description would be the Valiant and the Saintess, who attempted to obtain power that defied reality.]
Aldebaran: [Don’t come out all of a sudden using keywords that catch my interest. What’s this now, Valiant? Saintess? There are people with such archetypal jobs in this world?]
Witch: [Oya, is it really so surprising? It shouldn’t be so strange for there to be a Saintess given the existence of a Witch, correct?]
Aldebaran: [In that case, there should be a Demon King given the existence of a Valiant, yet is there?]
Witch: [Hahaha, no matter how you look at it, a Demon King would be a bit too far-fetched, no?]
With eyes framed by long lashes cast down, the Witch brought a finger to her lips in rumination, and as the unfathomably deep pool of knowledge revealed itself upon her beautiful face,
Witch: [The Witch Factors that manifest Authorities have no greater or lesser power than one another. Pride, Greed, Envy, Wrath, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth; there is no inherent superiority or inferiority among them, which holds true even for the abilities of any given Authority. Though, there are some that become obstreperous when tied to the strength of the user, like in the case of Sekhmet’s Authority.]
Aldebaran: [Ah, yeah, she was like the strongest Witch in generations, right?]
Witch: [There is no doubt about that evaluation. But then again, Sekhmet had major shortcomings outside of her strength which could be taken advantage of. Perhaps because of her lineage as a Giant, she was sloppy in many things.]
Aldebaran: [That summarization of yours was just as sloppy… By the way, about your Authority, Teacher…?]
Witch: [It is an uninteresting Authority. ――Through “Past”, “Present”, and “Future”, I can view any event I wish to. It is truly monotonous. I spoke of Witch Factors as pestering Od Lagna, but this cannot be perceived as anything but clear pestering towards myself.]
Shrugging her shoulders in lamentation, the Witch sought Aldebaran’s sympathy. But unfortunately, Aldebaran did not quite understand the Witch’s dissatisfaction.
The Witch before his eyes was a monster of curiosity, and for that reason had attained the title of the Witch of Greed. The explanation of her Authority just now could only have been seen as fitting for the Witch who was chosen by the Witch Factor of Greed due to her intense thirst for knowledge.
Witch: [Well, the matter of my boorish Authority is fine for now. More importantly, about your Authority―― I believe it to be an absolute, something capable of attaining victory against all sorts of opponents, including Sekhmet.]
Aldebaran: [――――]
Witch: [Oya, the look on your face appears to not believe me in the slightest. How strange.]

Aldebaran: [――――]
Witch: [That is why, I shall deliberately bestow these words upon you. ――There is nobody who can beat you.]
Indeed, with the Witch’s black eyes looking squarely at him, the words imparted sent a shiver through Aldebaran’s body.
The Witch’s point was layers of sophism, cobbled together from conceivable possibilities and made to sound logical; merely a sand castle of ideals constructed atop a crumbling foundation.
Under rain or wind, or perhaps the malintent of another, it would easily come crashing down, nothing more than a flash so brittle that it would seem like it had never been anything at all. Despite all that, through Aldebaran’s body, through his heart, ran a shiver.
A shiver because he wished to believe those words of the Witch―― no, because he had no choice but to make those words come true.
That instant, the Witch blinked her eyes and muttered a faint “Oops”,
Witch: [Well then, let us once again delve into the details of your Authority’s ability. The phenomenon which occurred in the midst of the trial the other day, where the subjectivity of your Territory was reversed… I would like to propose that we define those as the Victim and Aggressor of the Territory, but――]
Aldebaran: [Wait wait wait, don’t pull the wool over my eyes like that.]
Witch: [But, it is exceedingly important to thoroughly analyze events that have transpired and give names so that things can be easily classified. You must not neglect these things.]
Aldebaran: [Sure then, we can call it the Victim and Aggressor of the Territory. More importantly, the evil thoughts.]
Unexpectedly, she was zooming through an aspect of his Authority so fast that she would leave behind a trail, but Aldebaran halted the Witch, and pressed her for details.
Ultimately, Aldebaran’s objective lay in Envy, but since he had no idea what sort of irregularities might occur, he wished to avoid lacking knowledge for anything pertaining to Witch Factors.
Why don’t we just go ahead and create a proper page for Od Laguna already?
I’m pretty sure I had a sandbox for it lying around somewhere. As for Od itself, it’s been coming up more and more in powerscaling—whether it’s Olbart, Sirius, or others using it. Without proper clarification, it’ll stay vague, so a dedicated blog page for Od seems necessary now.
Does It really need? Just say the justification for immo, why all this extra stuff? If you want to explain Of Laguna, you could put in the blessed section.
