Re Zero Discussion Thread: Season 4 is Real

I am also planning on changing how the "Characters" section of the verse page is formatted, so I'd like to check on what supporters like.
  1. Would you prefer headshots of the characters as their icons (i.e just head and shoulders) or a full body image?
  2. I want to stick to as consistent a style as possible, so would you prefer:
    1. Otsuka's art, taken mainly from LN covers and coloured illustrations?
    2. Anime art/screenshots, taken from... the anime?
    3. Game art, taken from sources like Lost in Memories or Infinity?

I’d say official LN art would be best
 
Ok the Wilhelm & Theresia revamp is ready for a CRT. Cecilus & Halibel are done too, but I think 4 at once would be too much for one CRT. Also I'm not doing AP scaling changes — I know that peak Wilhelm & Theresia should scale above arc 9 Garf, it'll be done at a later point in time.

Any critiques before I post it?

On the other hand it's really funny to see Petra being gay for Rem and Emilia in June lol

The Astrea lore is getting deep, if Reinhard really caused Louanna to fall asleep then that puts things into a completely different kind of messed up.

Reinhard singlehandedly ruining 3 generations at once is crazy lmao

it can come under minor changes, unless ofc we would need an entire CRT just for that
 
Echidna is a "failure" the same as Aldebaran. This is specifically the Echidna of the Castle of Dreams. This Echidna looks similar to real Echidna in her clothes, her hair, and her general body-type — but her face is different. Aldebaran's face is specifically obscured. I still believe.

Al is NOT Subaru and this honestly even hints at it

I think this prologue is actually hinting that both Echidna and Al are “failures” that couldn’t fulfill the role they were created or meant for, they’re both meant to fulfill the role of and have the same appearance as Subaru and Echidna (the one Beatrice and Roswaal know) but have different faces (curious “Subaru”’s face isn’t shown in the illustration and we already know Tea Party Echidna is essentially similar to Gravestone Echidna in appearance except for her face)

She just have kilometers range on her page, make looks like ALL her Attacks are AoE.

i was thinking of Elsa first but then i realized this could be a rare chance for Theresia to shine, both characters will likely change their tiers soon in the upcoming future and this is likely one of the last times Sukuna ever gets a higher AP than Theresia like EVER.

I suppose it could. Though it'a moreso a choice rather than having a range, and then higher range with a particular move. Moreso just whether they do their whole sword pressure extension-whatever. Reinhard, Theresia, Wilhelm, Cecilus, all generally fight in CQC but even old Wilhelm could decapitate the Hakugei with a normal-sized sword.

For my matchup, I would do the Shinjuku showdown, with the Emilia camp replacing the Anti Sukuna squad. Should be a fun debate.

Next one I think will be either Elsa or Reinhard. Also working on Meili's (So much witchbeast stuff. Like the Sandworm actually putting up a fight against Prime Wilhelm is really funny given Old Wilhelm had no issue cutting the White Whale lol. Shaula also blows up a total of like 10+ Sandworms throughout arc 6)

To be clear, the sand worms and the earth worm are two different things. Also Wilhelm wasn't really in peak condition but still that was a strong ass worm.

Yeah, it is weird. But it's also an isolated specimen that doesn't affect scaling and there is precedent for the great mabeasts to not be the strongest (a little different, I know, but Shaula). I kinda just see it as what it is. Tappei just made this mabeast really strong to give Wilhelm a challenge.

I thought they were, but they're not. Check the character designs at the end of Ex3, it's clearly an Augrian Sandworm that's left its natural habitat for whatever reason.
