Question About Sakuya's Powers

In the recent Sakuya vs Bayonetta thread, the issue whether Sakuya resists time stops from others came up. I don't know if this is a definitive answer, but on the Touhou Wiki it elaborates on her time powers and talks of how she uses them on herself which makes her so long lived. It then states as a weakness she supposedly can't stop the time of OTHERS. This leads me to believe that she can stop the time of herself which is another reason of her prolonged age. Wouldn't this mean that time stops wouldn't affect her as her time is already stopped?

First off, wrong board, this should be lived.

Two, .....I don't understand what you're saying here.

You're going into detail about how she stops herself from aging but can't do so to others, that isn't Time Stop, that's decelerating your age.

And three, of her time Stop effects her, she isn't resisting it, in fact it would be the opposite.

Fourth, she's resisting her own time stop, you have to resist Time Stop from others to be affected by it.

Sorry if this was the wrong board. This is my first time making a thread so I didn't know. And I'm not asking about her resistance to her own time stop. I know she has to be affected or else I wouldn't be making this thread. What I'm asking is that how would a time stop affect her if her time is already stopped? Kind of like asking how you could freeze a block of ice.

Also where should I go for the right board?

Because it's fiction.

For a better answer, if Character A stops time, Character B resists and stops time, Character B takes control and becomes the one stopping it, thus character B is the one who's stopping time over A

"Kind of like asking how you freeze a block of ice"

Like Kuzan (Admiral Aokiji).

....... that explanation made my head hurt. Maybe I'm just slow.I get that time stops can be overlayed and overcome with another timestop (Dio vs Jotaro). But those are when you are using it to affect others. I'm just trying to clear up as to how it would work if the person's time is already stopped on themselves. How do you stop something that's already stopped?

I literally just explained.

Scenario

Character A: Time Stop

Character B: I resist, now it's my turn *Stops time*

Time is still stopped, only it's Character B doing so

There ya go

So it's like they override it. I guess I kind of get it l. It's just that it's confusing since usually time stops overlay and cancel each other out. At least that's how it's interpreted in a lot of fights like in death battles (Dante vs Bayonetta, which I know is a stomp now). But then again, the JoJo verse contradicts that. And then on the Time Stop page it's like they make it standard assumption time stoppers can resist other's time stops unless specifically stated otherwise. Or maybe I'm just reading it wrong.
