I think it's because in order to use speed for KE, the speed would have to be directly calculated from the specified feat instead of using a previously calculated speed.

This would mean that for the feats you mentioned in the blog, we would have to see the Hunter swing the weapon directly, and we would have to directly calculate the speed of Hunter's swing with the hammer if we were going to calculate the KE for it.

Fortunately for Pikachu, we already found his speed along with his mass (6 kg; Bulbagarden), so I think calculating his KE should be viable.

Well, fiction recurrently keeps speed and attack potency as very separate abilities.

However, MHS Pikachu seems okay, if there is a calculation supporting it.

I've got the same issue as Ant with the 8-B rating. Is that not Calc stacking? that seems super abusable..
