Power Rangers General Discussion Thread

The purpose of this thread is to discuss all things Power Rangers.

But also, we need to use this thread to figure out how to fix the verse on the wiki. As such, we need to figure out the following;
  1. How to divide the profiles and continuities
  2. Create a short explanation for canon stuff and secondary canons
  3. New profiles
  4. New keys
  5. Scaling
    1. Find feats
    2. Figure out a scaling chain
  6. General profile fixes, like P&A

Sources aren't an issue, the problem with scans is that imgur is acting up and I'll have to change some

otherwise profiles don't have scans or source problem atm other than ig, super outdated profiles like drakkon? idk what other profiles we have, i forgor
I'd suggest just linking the youtube episodes with time stamps, imgur is unreliable.

It would also mean you could just create a google docs with time stamps of what you wanted to update and make evidence collection much faster

yep, exactly what we started doing, now i feel bad for all the time i wasted making clips smh

Thanks, if this goes through we'll have multipliers which means we have to rework all of MMPR statistics yay!

Hell nah.
MMPR, aside from being my personal fav, is basically the basis for all other shows in terms of power scaling and mechanics. It is also the most iconic, used in matches and all of that.
It's also almost entirely reliant on nostalgia, repetitive, and boring.

i mean yeah, we always return back to MMPR, we can never escape it

@Divini this “void that opposes the morphin grid”, wouldn’t it be conceptual if it’s of the same but opposite nature of the grid or is it not explored in any detail?

It is but I'm planning on explaining it further into detail in future CRTS (when its also time to massively update the grid energy page)

bro is very optimistic, i would add a few hundred 0

I started watching Lost Galaxy
Another question

It seems like each season is just going to keep upscaling, at least until Ninja Storm (iirc they don’t have a WF crossover for back scaling), are there grounds to scale the resistances of the previous season to the next?

All powers come from the same source and the suits are seemingly identical in function, they should offer the same resistances, outside of ranger specific resistances that are explicitly shown to be due to personal traits (willpower, knowledge, etc)

good news: the crossovers always happen late into show so we can have key splits (from lost galaxy and onward)
bad news: hype statements like "the super most powerful power ever in the universe!!!!" might ruin it (lost galaxy ep 1 already got a hype statement)

There are, to an extent but it'll need a good discussion to reach a conclusion

Yeah, we will end up getting some resistances over to Ranger physiology eventually

The government on their way to make a power more powerful than one of the most powerful powers in the universe (lightspeed rangers)

It just doesn’t really make sense the MMPR would be able to resist all these abilities when they’re 4 generations of not being the more powerful than before than In-Space.

And what do we do when Green Ranger Tommy and Blue Ranger Billy are relevant in modern day (or even Jason being relevant in forever red), should all rangers just have passive AD and newer sets of rangers just start at a higher base level?

Carter's mere aura works like that on its own-

Yeah its AD, we already see it with alien rangers being on Zeo level during their crossover

random question: if someone can move normally on the moon do they get resistance to gravity or what-

Then they will be low 2-C when they beat the Psycho Rangers
i mean, yeah but we can key split thankfully

we are also going to do profiles for the whole team so this might be the first ranger team to have fully complete profiles

In how many crossovers does Jason appear as the Red Ranger? And to which characters does he scale to?
