Power of Resurrection

I just wanted to point out that it says here that one of Simon's "weaknesses" is being incapable of resurrecting the dead, and that he stated he cannot do so. That is completely incorrect, as anyone who was really paying attention to the end of the show knows. Simon is, in fact, completely capable of resurrecting the dead, but simply refuses to do so by reason of his personal moral philosophy, as stated in the show. But, that last part (his refusal to actually use the power) should not matter as far as Vs Battles Wiki is concerned, and I therefore propose that this "weakness" be removed and that Resurrection be added to his list of powers (although in his case it's a sub-power of his Reality-Warping combined with the fundamental nature of Spiral Power, anyway).

Secondly, I propose that "refusal, on ethical grounds and based on the risk of potential Spiral-Nemesis, to risk overuse of power," or something along those lines, be added to Simon's weaknesses. Basically, there are certain things that Simon could do with Spiral Power that he, however, WILL NOT do because (as stated in the show) he wants to set a good example for all the Spiral Races in order to prevent the abuse of Spiral Power, which could lead to the Spiral Nemesis (i.e. the End-of-Reality in this particular Verse). The only one of these things Simon will not do (but could) that is actually established in the show, is the ability to manipulate the actual life-force and souls of living beings, with applications as the aforementioned ability to resurrect the dead. It can be surmised that there are many other things Simon could do with such an ability to manipulate souls and life itself, but he would never actually willingly use such abilities, which is a potential weakness against enemies from other Verses that may have such abilities.

Do you have reference for this?

It's. . .very vague. Watch the final episode of the show, the last scene before the flash-forward Epilogue is Simon's and Nia's wedding. Nia fades out of existence (basically "dies") right after marrying Simon, at which point the following exchange takes place:

Gimmy: Then. . .you should just use the Power of the Spiral! You can use that power to bring Nia back! And not just her. . .ALL the OTHER people we've lost!

Yoko: Sorry, but Simon isn't God, Gimmy.

Simon: Those who are dead are dead. If we bring them back to life, they'll just get in the way of the next generation, right?

Notice that Gimmy, one of the main Spiral Warriors who fought alongside Simon in the final battle and who knows more than almost anyone else in the universe about the capabilities of Spiral Power, seems SURE that Simon could bring back all their dead friends. At which point, while Yoko says that Simon is not God, she DOES NOT IN ANY WAY DENY that Gimmy is right about what Simon could do. The real kicker, though, is the part in bold: Simon is pretty clearly saying "yeah, I could revive them," but then proceeds to explain why he WON'T do it.

Essentially, it seems that when a previous editor listed not being able to resurrect the dead as a "weakness" of Simon's, it was due to him severely misinterpreting Yoko's and Simon's statements. They were saying that Simon simply SHOULDN'T revive the dead, but the previous editor seemed to think they were saying he COULDN'T. He very clearly can.

It should be obvious anyway that even if no one else can, Simon can use Spiral Power to revive the dead, by considering the way in which he managed to break himself and everyone out of the Dimensional Labyrinth they got trapped in by the Anti-Spiral: By using Spiral Power, Kamina actually RETURNED FROM THE DEAD HIMSELF (meaning, for one thing, that Spiral Power users of hte highest level are able to resurrect themselves from the dead if they really want to) in order to briefly remind Simon of who he really was, at which point Simon pulled a crowning moment of badass and used his Spiral Power to break through infinite different possible parallel dimensions, find the versions of his friends in each and every one, take the souls of all the parallel versions of his friends, and essentially "collapse them back down" into single souls back in the main reality. That is soul/life-force manipulation, spanning dimensions, on a Godlike scale right there. Not to mention that Kamina pulled a Jesus using Spiral Power. So the resurrection of the dead being one of Simon's capabilities is pretty obvious based on all that, I think.

However, he still has a huge, glaring, ridiculous weakness: He would never, ever actually use that power, unless it was for a very limited use to just speak to someone (rather than directly affect things himself) like what Kamina did when he resurrected himself. So yeah, Simon can resurrect the dead, can quite possibly even create life from scratch with his vast abilities to materialize life-force-energy as well as matter from nothing, but he would never actually use any such life-manipulation/creation abilities because he sees it as arrogant and dangerous.

So, again, let's add in Resurrection as an ability, remove inability to resurrect as a weakness, and add "refusal to use some aspects of full scope of abilities (such as resurrection) on ethical grounds" to his weaknesses.
