Do we assume that power nullification can nullify any ability in a vs match or use only what has been shown to be nullified in a series? For example, if a character can null soul hax but never been shown to null anything else other than soul hax.

Do we assume they can null any ability not just the soul hax in a versus thread?

Its depends on a case-by-case basis. If the power-null specifically can only work on one thing or one source, then no. If it has been shown to have only affected one thing but can possibly affect more, than yes.

Inconclusive, no evidence supporting it can do more or less for this example/thread.

It would be a No Limits Fallacy to assume someone with this ability can nullify anything that falls within the phenomena their powers are made to counter. It is to be assumed that any negation power has its limitations based on the strongest thing it has nullified, and a character may be resistant to the ability (at least in one of its forms), preventing it from having its usual effects.

If what you said was copied off the powers page. (I can't look atm. Not in a good spot.) I see many verse matches where people believe powernull is a universal power. Affecting 1 power means it can affect them all, and thus becomes a wincon.

If any, one wouldn't be able to negate ratial powers that does not depend from an outside source or are considered too mundane (like, one wouldn't be able to negate a snake's poison, even tho the poison manip is considered a power; or a dragon's fire breath unless is performed through the use of magic or similar).
