I was convinced by a user to discuss potential new abilities that may be added to the Polar Bear's Profile.
Possible Abilities:
(Possible Stealth Mastery?): https://seaworld.org/animals/all-about/polar-bear/diet/ (Archived)
OG Bears can chuck ice/stone & use
Thoughts: It seems to be a tactic that the bear uses against it's prey rather than an ability of stealth. The bear's skin does give some camouflage in it's environment.
tools: https://www.researchgate.net/public...Tools_When_Hunting_Walruses_Odobenus_rosmarus (Archived)
Thoughts: The Bear's tool use is probably comparable to other animals' tool use, but lifting rocks/ice that are at most Class 1 are another story. There's not that many witnesses of a bear using ranged attacks with hunks of ice/stone aside from native hunters. It's not out of the possibility of a bear using it's environment to it's advantage due to it's brain size (intelligence), strength, hunting strategies & social interactions.
