Pokemon Discussion Thread - Red & Blue arc

I'm watching the pokemon anime bit by bit and in ep 41 we can see more evidence that the reaearch done by pokemom professors is as thorough as it can be. Friede during his time as a professor has written many thesis, made distribution maps for pokemon and more. I just wanted to add more to fight any argument that Pokedex entries are nothing but baloney.

It’d be easier just to catalogue any feat you find. OP stuff will come naturally. Also avoid Horizons because we have it as noncanon to any other timeline.

Anyways Palafin feats from ep 42:
-can solidify water ringe to make a platform
-air from its blowhole lets it fly
-bubble lenses on his eyes enhance his vision and it can see 10s of kilometers away
-IT LIFTS UP A REAL F-ING CRUISE SHIP WITH ONE HAND ON SCREEN (I am writing down as I'm watching and it actually lifts a small cruise ship casually with a single hand)

I believe it is canon to the main anime and even if it wasn't it'd be it's own canon timeline with priority comparable to Ash anime.
Any feat from there is important.
It isn't canon to the main anime, in fact the episodes in Galar disprove that. In fact it doesn't get normal scaling at all since the real anime scales to everything.

Anyway fr it gets the normal scaling it's literally an official anime from the same studio made as a replacement for the ash anime idk tf you're talking about

I mean isn't the previous series complete? Yeah, Ash hasn't become a Pokemon master, but he has been trying step one of the process become champion, the entire time we seen him. Ash's journey isn't over, but his next destination has changed and I don't think the Pokemon company wants to risk his image as a result of his new direction. You have stated previously you haven't watched it so stop complaining about the new anime unless that changed.

I mean, Giovanni is still at large, but there was no world where they had him get defeated.

Do you really think an anime as bad as Horizons gets to replace the one we’ve been watching for decades?
I don't care about your personal feelings, what I'm talking about are conversations that were leaked during the massive pokemon leaks. They finished the original series and then they made the next weekly series. It now takes place of the pokemon anime and even if it's not canon to Ash's series it does have the same priority of canonicity.

Also it's not even that bad, it's just embracing what Journeys became.

A Pokemon Master isn't just a title or position. It's not a pirate king or a hokage. It is an abstract concept Ash made up and chases. It is the abstractedness of it that keeps him moving. You become a champion and what now? You wait for your fall. Ash, however, has an ideal, an ideal of a man who can command pokemon through absolute trust, who can understand them like they understand him, to be the very very best like no one ever was. Leon was already a world champion and now ash is, they're not that far apart. Ash, however, has a bar that is somewhere above him. Him becoming a pokemon master would make his life meaningless for it would mean there's nothing else to do in this world. By believing in an ideal that can be raised at any point he can put whatever goal he wants and go to achieve it. I mean just an example, sure, he beat some champions, but he absolutely jobbed to Mewtwo and the mf was not mega and casual. There's a goal, beat Mewtwo. And so it goes on. Ash gave himself something most adults cannot give - a dream that is both within reach and isn't, one that will always light their sense of adventure, something that shall always drive them forward.

You're inserting your definition of a Pokémon Master, then claiming it as the objective definition and complaining about it

For Ash, it's like an eternal adventure. And that's a good thing

Can we count ppl that cant accept Ash aint in the spotlight anymore (Pokemon wont ever scrap him) as Genwunners?

It's not
The final chapter of Ash's part makes it very clear that being a Pokemon Champion had little or nothing to do with being the strongest

Random question but what’s everyone’s thoughts on making CRTs unrelated to the canon split debate going on, namely the scaling of Trainer Pokémon? I wanted to ask first in case it might’ve been too disruptive, but I feel there are trainers that don’t scale to things they should. For example, Red, Blue and Green in Let’s Go not scaling to Mewtwo.

Kukui should not climb with his incineroar considered he stood firm Z move and tapu koko to climb higher incineroar
