It's been a while since one of these has happened, it seems. Honestly, it almost feels like it's dead here, so I might as well post a thread like this here.
Phantasy Star was originally a series of 4 Sci-fi RPGs released back in the 90s. Phantasy Star 1 was released on the Sega Master System, with 2, 3, and 4 being released on the Genesis. They all take place in the Algol star system, facing off against Dark Falz and those it managed to corrupt. The series is notable for being one of the first JRPGs to have a female lead character in Alis Landale.
After the original four games, the series would be released as an MMORPG called Phantasy Star Online, for the Dreamcast. From there, the Phantasy Star series focused more on being an online game series, with spinoffs being released in those universes. The most recent game in the series is Phantasy Star Online 2, a fast-paced action MMO that's currently ongoing, but a new game has been announced as the supposed spin-off game called Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.
This thread is here to discuss the games, whether it's one of the original JRPGs released in the 90s, or any of the online variants such as Online 1, Universe, Online 2, or any of their spinoffs. In addition, it's been a while since there's been more support for profiles, and this might be a good place to collectively brainstorm some.
