Persona 1 main cast should be 1-A in their late game due to beating Thanatos who is rated at 1-A here.


And yes, this is the same Thanatos from P3, yes it look different, but you can see the similarity to the Devil Summoner's Thanatos, who has this description:

"Origin: Greece
The god of death in Greek mythology, also known as the Grim Reaper. He is the son of the night goddess Nyx, and the twin brother of the sleep god Hypnos. When it's somebody's time to die, Thanatos first dedicates their life to Hades, king of the Underworld, by cutting their hair with his blade. When he is finished, he takes them.

He is said to walk amongst men, clothed in a black robe and carrying a blade."

This is his description in Persona 3

"The Greek god of death, he is the son of Nyx and the brother of Hypnos. He is depicted as a young man with an inverted torch and wreath or butterfly in his hands."

Which is pretty much the same, so I suggest that every P1 Protag got upgraded to 1-A in their late game key.

Second Argument

They should be 1-A via defeating Nyx as a quest right before fighting Pandora, Nyx appear as the being named the Night Queen, which is a reference to what Nyx really means on it's Mythology (The Goddess of Night). You defeated Nyx in the Snow Queen Quest which you have to defeat Thanatos and Hypnos before defeating Nyx as it's final boss, it's pretty obvious that Night Queen is Nyx.

The key after it should also be 1-A.

I'm withholding my vote until more supporters arrive, but I do have a question: How exactly does Thanatos scale to 1-A? I understand that he's Makoto Yuki's persona, who is 1-A, but does that mean his demon form scales to his persona form

He should also be comparable to his brother, Hypnos who's also 1-A.

You defeated Nyx in the Snow Queen Quest which you have to defeat Thanatos and Hypnos before defeating Nyx as it's final boss, it's pretty obvious that Night Queen is Nyx.

Unfortunately the version of Nyx that appears in Persona 3 is not the same entity as the Nyx demon from most Megami Tensei entries. Persona 3 Nyx has a completely original backstory that is entirely separate from Nyx's real-life mythological origin. As such, they do not scale to each other.

As much as I would love to see 1-A Megami Ibunroku Persona, I'm going to have to disagree with this CRT.

If this is referring to P3 Nyx, then, no. They’re not the same being, so the scaling falls apart.
