Pearl VS Dovakhiin

Dovahkiin far outclasses her in hax. He wins for reasons above


and before JSW comes in asking if dragonborn will use his hax... ok let's just assume he will

Yeah, Dovahkiin destroys.
 
Does he have any answer to Low high regen though? His shouts are very limited and very low versions of the hax in question, and his TM slows time and him, plus his opponents down as well.

Maybe he can react to what she will attack with better. However I find this unlikely that his slow time will do anything. The only reason Dovahkiin has an advantage over his opponents during the game is because he is so much faster.

And equalized speed doesn't help....

His bend will shout gives him control over her mind, however he can still not reduce her down to dust though

DB in ES lore literally has no way to get rid of her when she has low high Regenerationn. His time manipulation is limited time slowing, which also slows down him.
 
Does the inventory somehow prevent Regenerationn? If not then i dont see why she wouldnt be able to regenerate.
 
Yeah but Dov has no prior knowledge of Pearl so he has no idea that she needs her gemstone to be intact in order for her to regenerate, for all he knows its just loot dropped from the person he just killed. Why would your first instinct be to crush a baseball-sized pearl after your opponent's body literally exploded right in front of you?
 
I'd probably try to use it as a Soul Gem to be honest xD

Weither that'd work or not is not up to me though. It depends on the player really. Some players would find out almost immediately that "Hey maybe this unidentifiable gem is helping her power up like a powerful soul gem?" and destroy it, and some might keep it to identify it later.
 
Weekly. I literally said above that after he realizes she respawns from that, he would then get the idea of crushing it. Considering that she dies and leaves that behind, only to revive and that item disappears.

Right.

You guys are limiting the Dragonborn by the games. If it's the GAME Dragonborn, then yes, Pearl will win. The Dragonborn from the lore, however, is not to be underestimated. The Thu'um alone, the Dragonborn's most powerful asset, is far more diverse than the games show. First of all, let us take Miraak - the First Dragonborn. By the time you get to him in the games, it's an epic fight but ultimately you should usually just smack him into the dirt. But lorewise, not quite. Vahlok the Jailor and Miraak had a battle that ended up with the entire island of Solstheim being shouted right off the coast and turned into, well, an island. Miraak also "supposedly" had the power of Herma-Mora (can't spell Hermaushakakd) but that didn't stop the Dragonborn from forcing him into the dirt.

The Greybeards - cranky old men that can shout those damn kids off their law. Remember, the Greybeards' voice was powerful enough to cause an earthquake throughout all of Skyrim and possibly beyond. And they aren't even the Dragonborn. They trained to do that for their entire life. The Dragonborn had the potential to learn it much more quickly. And you guys, maybe Slow Time isn't entirely reliable (you forget, it doesn't slow down time - it speeds up reactions) but there's still a gajillion other Shouts the Dragonborn can fall back on. Take for example, Bend Will. Pearl might not fall to it, but if she does, then the Dragonborn is gonna have fun. Then there's Soul Tear, which can pretty much bitchkill most things it hits - except for tough enemies, and Pearl is definitely a tough enemy. But it's still going to leave a metaphysical scar. Mini-tornadoes, ghosts, and dragons can all be summoned with the Thu'um. It's a pretty valuable asset.

Now, if the Lore Dragonborn is a magic user (which is most likely true) then the Dragonborn is also a low-high regenerator (?) thing. Restoration spells can quickly mend wounds and the like, and they aren't hard to cast. Even the basic Restoration spells are immensely valuable. And then there's the usage of the elements of lightning, fire, and ice - summoning daedra, making ones skin as hard as ebony (to those that don't know, it's steel's badass grandma) and even making ones enemy go crazy, piss their pants, or making them all chill. So don't underestimate the dragonborn from the lore.

But do underestimate the game version. Because the game version is garbage that I spit on.

But this is all from me being a fan of Skyrim, so I'm going to look up Pearl and learn how she fights and all that and maybe change my opinion.
 
@CoB Youre implying that Dov can oneshot Pearl with a normal shout when she has both an AP and durability advantage? After she regens once then yeah he'd figure it out but he has to get her to that point first, and after she regenerates she'll have at least some idea of what Dov is capable of from their previous fight.
 
Nay Weekly. That was more of a joke post but in the case, the main idea is this. Once Pearl respawns once, both would know what the other can do at this point now. And Dovakhin is not gonna go easy and let her respawn again (Unless he wants a sparring partner)


I mean... Does that gem also have that Regenerationn? I'm really confused. I doubt the Dovakhin is dumb enough to not touch that after realizing "Hey, I should probably destroy the thing she always leaves behind, maybe that'll stop her from respawning." Also yeah, Dovakhin also gets an idea of how Pearl fights.

No, the gemstone itself doesnt have regen.

I was until it was brought up that mist of Dov's hax arent as potent as i thought they were.
 
Not really, most of the votes are based on Dov's hax but not how they work (ie. Time manip also slowing Dov down, Mind manip not working on Pearl due to her not having a brain, Petrification not working because Gem physiology...)

Actually, how does his transmutation work?
 
If votes are reset everytime someone counters an argument then a lot of other listed victories and losses would have to be adjusted. Well if it stays that way at least


Should probably add the resistance to mind manipulation then. Btw it seems only undead are immune to these. Sides they still have minds. [When activated, the Slow Time shout slows everything down significantly for a short amount of time. Although the Dragonborn is also affected by the time-slowing effects, they are able to move much faster than their enemies while the shout is active, allowing them to attack enemies with less danger of getting hit back. ]

Still faster though

Dismay would be useful too, and so will Disarm on making her.. well disarmed.

That jabberwocky staff can still turn her into an apple

Btw what are you talking about superior AP? Profiles list them as equal. Dovakhin is at least Island level.
