Partners in Crime: Tier 9-A Duo Tournament

Okay. Since I REALLY don't like coin flips, I will be suggesting a new way to figure out which duo moves on to the next round.

Basically, if both duo's combatants have a vote difference of one or higher, that combatant will go on to the next round. For example:

Duo 1: 8 votes

Duo 2: 10 votes

Duo 2 would go on, despite the match being Inconclusive under Versus Threads rules. If the votes are exactly tied, or there are votes for Inconclusive, then a coin flip will be done.

Agree: @Shadowslash125, @Detective_Blizzard, @Tonygameman,

Disagree:

Neutral: @Imaginym

Hmm I understand where you're coming from but I'm admittedly neutral on this. One of the reasons why the rider match got so long is because of an early FRA train hitting. We should at the very least have a grace period of 24hrs should the scenario you say happens or something of the sort so that the losing duo can have a chance to bounce back

Then agree, though it can't be added into the profiles anymore. But what if it becomes a standard decisive win during this one diff grace?

Anyways yea agree
Also you might want to message people still participating or frequent non-participate like imaginym and Detective Blizzard in their profile walls to have a say on this too. Usually most of the peeps don't appear in this thread anymore (it's just been the four of us) so you should do that.

I was asked to commentate on this matter. I feel that I should express that my stance is that It's your tournament, to manage as you prefer.

So therefore, I'm unopposed/neutral on this.

I do think it's plausible it could have a positive expediating effect on the tournament through its implementation, which may make it worthwhile.

Apologies if anyone minds my stance &/or all of my yammering & ten-dollar words, please.

Just a heads up, with how much of a slog this has been in recent times, I don't think we should expect anyone else besides us to be talking in this thread much anymore. So just wing it. They'll come and debate in the matchup itself. (Though it would be nice if I'm proven wrong).

Round 3 Tournament

Match-Ups

Kim & Shego vs Lupin & Koichi

Kuai & Hanzo vs Kamen Riders BS & SM

Starting with the former match first.

Not to sound rude or inconsiderate, but I feel I need to say this.
I've noticed a complete lack of activity in some of the remaining participants (or those willing to argue in their stead if assigned) who are supposed to be defending their combatants, resulting in more slogfests due to this reason. While I understand that you're occupied with other stuff (irl or in vsbw) or genuinely not interested anymore. At the very least, notify the people still interested in the main thread or the matchup thread so as to not slow us down whether you're held back by something or unable to take part anymore.

Made a revision thread for Lupin and Co due to how scuffed those profiles are. Figured it's worth mentioning here since it could lead to Lupin having a more comprehensible equipment list to utilize in the tourney and while Lupin's added abilities for it doesn't do anything for the tournament, Zenigata would get some notable buffs from it if it goes through. Anyone interested can take a look.

Got the job done

What's the tldr for the revision?

Also finally we can probably continue on the already slow ass tourney.
In general, practically every character in the verse got buffed via 'common sense that should've been there in the first place'

For Lupin and Pops, Lupin got his mental resistances heavily buffed and got actual standard equipment to use (with the added bonus of his car being thrown in, though it won't have any listed abilities until I put in effort to actually give Lupin a real modern CRT). Zenigatta on the other hand came out walking in style with improved senses with Extrasensory, Rage Power, Social Influence, disguises, his police car, and most impressively of all he was able to pass his gun test and is now actually capable of shooting farther than several meters with a pistol (I'm so proud of him )
