Paramount Sonic Revision

I have one focus here:

Sonic should be upgraded to Large Building level because of this accepted calculation (8.6 tons was the accepted rating). This would also mean removing his current Wall level rating.

Sonic at full power by the end of the movie should certainly scale, while maybe Base Sonic doesn't as most of Robotnik's attacks put him out of commission in the movie. But I think it would be fine to downscale him?

Robotnik should be upgraded to Large Building level as it was his technology that pulled off the feat.

So High 8-C for the doctor while Sonic will be likely High 8-C physically but still keep his 8-A possibly higher for his electricity that'll low-key likely be retconned as chaos energy in the sequel imo.
It's already Chaos Energy in the novelization

Anyways, I agree, honestly I don't think Sonic should even have "8-A with eletricity", that's just his full power, which he shows at the end when he stomped Eggman

I’d agree, except for only for his durability for the scaling. I don’t think his Base AP, or at least base striking strength, translates to his durability.

Due to Sonic’s base AP limits in the film. He couldn’t take out the lone Badnik, which Tom stepped in to assist. He was aiming to knock the guy at the bar with a bottle and went “huh, am I crazy? This is this suppose to break, right?” in response when he couldn’t. And again did no damage to the guy was he sped up his punches.

I don’t believe he did any real damage during the movie till he amped himself up.

I’m fine with the Calcs going to his durability. Make him a Stone Waller.

Didn't the novel mention his powers as separate from his physicals?
I'm unsure if we consider that canon but it's worth noting IG

I agree with this.

Some other thing I want to point out is an issue with his electricity. Pretty sure you are not supposed to multiply the amount of seconds it lasted since the electricity would otherwise be doing the same AP per second, so I would downgrade it to whatever it generated in a second.

Why are we scaling base sonic to one of these attacks almost knocked him out? Don’t why now consider 8-a to be sonics full power? So why would he have a high 8-C rating for it?

The attack didn't knock him out, though? Did you not watch the scene that was linked in the calc? Or are you talking about his electricity stuff?
The laser attack, yea that did knock him out? The one he used on the pyramid isn’t that the same laser that preformed the high 8-c feat?

That was because Sonic wasn't using his powers, later on we see Sonic using his powers together with his spin attacks when stomping Jim Carrey

He seemed to be conscious a bit and seemed to keep slipping between the two, but this is why I felt it would be fine to downscale him from the feat as Eggman's laser scales close to baseline City Block level. That way, Sonic would be within the same tier, but inferior to Eggman's laser.

But why would he be in the same value? If a 8.6 ton blast was capable of knocking him out briefly then I’m not sure if we should downscale him but at the same time keep him at that value, unless that’s how it works

I was thinking of downscaling him to Baseline of said tier. If people do downscale characters and keep them at the same value, I didn't know (I guess it's possible for really large tiers?)

Oh, so we aren’t upgrading Sonic’s Base? Then, that’s my bad. I was a bit confused.

I don't think we're given an official height as far as I know. Just figured scaling him to the design he's most inspired by would be the safest bet.

Sonic Forces: Speed Battle has him pretty much the same height when next to the game version Sonic when he's an adult teen. I don't believe we get any direct measurements stated in the novel.

Can't we just scale Sonic's height next to Tom?
