Okay, let's see here.

Solus scales from Molstrom destroying Advent, which clocks in at 3.6568*10^13 Joules.

Meanwhile, Owl scales from the Divine Dragon swinging its sword, which clocks in at 6.6667*10^13 Joules.

So, Owl is 2x more powerful than Solus right off the bat.

How does Owl get around a lot of Solus's ranged options, such as his whirlwinds and his giant owl statue?

Owl should be able to deflect both whirlwind and the statue as he could deflect Sekiro's Air Manipulation techniques as well as the statue due to scaling to Sekiro who could deflect a giant sword. Also Owl is simply very agile too and can easily dodge his way out of it, so he has options to address those abilities.

Solus...doesn't throw the statue at anyone. He holds it in the air while it fires blasts from the various holes in it before it vanishes.

Owl should be able to deflect them then still. Also he has poison for area denial. He also has his shurikens to throw at him. Though if Owl has prior knowledge, he could also know that he can stealth around and deal a deathblow given he could sneak up on Sekiro.

Most of his poison comes in the form of gas, which can easily be blown away by Solus. Not to mention he can straight up teleport.

Solus is also very good at throwing out AoE attacks, so sneaking up on him would be tricky.

Solus would need to know first that Owl was there first and foremost to actually respond with an AOE, and also isn't above underhanded tactics to gain a quick advantage, which would be more devastating for Solus given his AP advantage. Also although it's not in-character due to his age, Owl still has access to his spirit owl to save him from trouble and teleport him out when there's trouble.

Knowing where he is doesn't matter. Solus spams teleportation and AoE during the entirety of his boss fight. Owl would have to track him down and be able to predict where he's going to show up. Plus, the worse the battle is going for Solus, the faster and more powerful his attacks get.

Heck, by the third phase of his boss fight, he's throwing dopplegangers all over the place and turning into a hurtling ball of energy flying all over the place, on top of his energy attacks and teleportation.

Owl can still keep up with his spirit Owl, and can even throw it at Solus, and his Enhanced Senses should be able to help him be able to track where he is next given he's comparable to Sekiro, who's had to track the same modus operandi versus him and Lady Butterfly. Owl is practically untouchable in his Spirit Owl on top of this, so once things become too intense, he can retreat into this and use it whenever projectiles get too intense and just follow Solus wherever

Okay, let's put a pin in the above for a hot second so I can try to understand the characters here.

Starting out, what would Owl try to do? What would be his opening move?
