Order's Last Stand (Part 1)

Okashina and K. Rool remained silent, the Allosaurus listening his senses tuned for any possible threats, while the crocodilian proudly sauntered his way over the grassy ground, unafraid of whatever dangers may come.
 
"Considering how I can't remember anything before meeting you all, that might actually be a possibility."
 
[We're going to the base of the enemy of Merak's boss, not his boss' base]

Merak decides to ignore Spartacus' statement

"So, what about the guys with you? What's their story? I know there was some sort of multiversal genocide or something, but I was playing an MMO RPG at the time, so I really didn't notice."
 
Haseo looks unusually sad at this question. "I was... trying to save a close friend of mine, but that doesn't really matter anymore, she's gone for good now."
 
Benimaru gets very frustrated and angry just by the mention of the event.

He looks to the ground and grabs on to his chest with his right hand.

"Rimuru-sama ..."

He says with a low and sad tone of voice
 
"Hmph," King K. Rool just responded as he scowled. "I had been beaten once too many times by that primitive flea bag Donkey Kong."
 
Merak looked at everyone while he was being carried.

"I mean, I don't know what I expected..."

I tear starts to form in his eyes, though you can tell he was trying to hold them back.

"I guess I was lucky. I didn't have many people to lose."
 
"Well, uh...I don't think Noodle here talks much," the girl muttered as she nudged the Japanese girl, though she still looked pretty sad.

"Band is gone..."
 
I quietly follow along.

"I had fought in battle to assure the fate of the world from destruction. From there i traveled back in time and... it gets complicated after that."

Red tries to explain his story.
 
I keep walking.

"I tried to stop the..whatever it was that happened, but I couldn't no matter what I did. I lost all my friends, no, my family..." Steven says as he follows along.
 
"Perhaps it is better to not remember anything after all then... Well, we are here now, if there is anything that can be done to save the ones you all lost, I will do all I can to do so. "
 
"You know, with the money I made from Sumeragi, I moved into my own place as soon as I could. Didn't talk to my parents much after that. They really didn't approve my choice of job. You know, living weapon at age thirteen. I called them, recently. They didn't pick up. Who knows. They could be dead, caught up in this whole thing. Or they could feel ashamed that their only son is working for a genocidal god being as far as they know. And frankly, I don't know what's worse."
 
Chrome looks at the people around her and think carefully about the question presented. She doesn't really remember much other than graduating recently. She was surprised about having to fight so suddenly because she hasn't had a proper fight in over 5 years.
 
"We indeed are."

Spartacus comments.

"So, let get moving before we die of old age !"

He continues moving foward.

Meanwhile

Benimaru: ; - ;
 
"What, do we just break in or something? That doesn't seem like a good idea when trying to make friends."
 
"Neither the base nor the assassins are in plain sight. They'd be pretty crummy secret bases and assassins if they were."

Suddenly a large, white pillar comes out of the ground. There are two people standing on it. One gives a soft, blue glow, but otherwise both are impossible to fully see.

"Just as I say that..."

Suddenly, some of you can barely see a bullet go past you. It hits the one with the soft blue glow, but they seemingly more or less reacted to it. It only hit them in the arm. Though they glow bluer when hit, their still impossible to see.

"And that's probably the assassin. At least we know what direction their in now."
 
"It seems we've found one then. Let's waste no time. Haseo, fire back." Haseo lifts his hand and light gathers around it. "Lei Zas" he speaks as a beam of light fires in the direction the bullet came from.
 
[Warning: This fight contains massive part 5 manga spoilers] "You know, this is just one guy with a sniper rifle. Don't-but whatever. I'll take a, wait. Why does it feel like I teleported a foot away?"

Everyone has moved in various different directions. Merak is now standing on the ground.

"Oh no oh no OH NO OH NO OH GOD THIS IS BAD!"

Merak was visibly panicked. Suddenly, everyone teleported again. A strange man with pink hair was behind Merak. He then said something.

"The results are all that matter in this world"

Merak quickly dropped into a wormhole. What looked like a pushback of air appeared behind him a second later. Those who could see souls saw a strange red man with two faces, but couldn't see very much beyond that.

"Alright, this is bad. This guy can see the future and, if he dosn't like what he sees, he just decides it dosn't happen. This also disorients you"

Suddenly, everyone teleports again. The man with the pink hair is gone.

"I don't know how the Vindicare hasn't shot us yet. I guess he's distracted with the two on the balcony."

You can see the two dodging bullets from time to time.

Music Cue

BOSS: Diavolo and Vindicare Assassi

Henchmen: N/A

Victory Conditions: Defeat both enemies and/or they flee

Defeat Conditions: All players are defeated

Special Conditions: The Vindicare will only shoot at the party every other turn. Diavolo can only be counterattacked.
 
"See the future, huh? That's troublesome." Phoenix buffs his defenses. "Haseo, try and do something he won't realize right off the bat, hit him with it the moment he shows up." Phoenix whispers. Haseo decides he will use an item with the "Voodoo" effect the moment he sees Diavolo show up.

"Someone should go after the assassin."
 
Narrowing his eyes, Okashina stood his ground and put up his dukes, while King K. Room started firing clouds of purple gas from his blunderbuss.
 
"Damn, I can't get a bead on this pink haired guy. Steven! Give us a shield!" I say and he raises a large pink bubble shield around us both.
 
2B puts up the A060 P Shield to defend her and Ava

"Thanks 2B now we just need to figure out what to do about that guy. Maybe we can figure something out if our shield blocks him."
 
I look around, not seeing the pink haired dude.

Oh no, a teleporting enemy is bad.

Mori gives me his armor suit.

"Take this, it'll keep you safe in case you get sneak attacked."

Mori gets into a position that I don't recognize but mimic anyways.

"This is Bo-bup or Way of Walking. It'll help you react to an attack faster."
 
"What ?! How does that even work ?"

Spatacus says confused as spreads his magma several meters around his feet.

Meanwhile Benimaru readies his sword and mentally prepares himself for the next attack.
 
"Aw shet, looks like we got another round ahead of us," the girl muttered as she activated her chess outfit, to have a mech suit that looked pretty damn cool all the same. Meanwhile, Noodle has her tommy gun out and hopped on the mech's shoulder. "Let's rock!"
 
Merak creates a circle of wormholes around himself for defense. "It's not teleportation. I think it's something like erasing time."

Enemy Turn:

The Vindicare Assassin fires once more at the two figures above.

Everyone seemingly move instantly again, feeling somewhat disoriented. Diavolo appears about two meters behind Benimaru and attempts to attack with King Crimson.
 
Haseo notices Diavolo appear and activates an item targeting Diavolo, the item's effect is "Voodoo", continously draining the target's stamina until the effect runs out.

Phoenix jumps behind the newly appeared mech suit and touches it, sharing his ability with the suit. "I'm not really that great at a long range, so I'd appreciate if you could let me use you as cover."
