What happened was that Drive Knight's armor got blown off him by Psykos, crumbling into numerous pieces, which were later summoned by him. Drive Knight's box is naturally meant to break down into small pieces and reform around him. That is not regeneration, it's Mechanical Shapeshifting and Technology Manipulation)
