To express myself more crudely than usual, you are cooking today.I wonder if Nefertari Lily was the previous Rain God Zaza. So, maybe, somehow, the Poneglyphs was spread throughout the world via heavy rain or storm.

Oda.. You're like my top 10 best human ever lived in the world.Dragon's first appearance was during a heavy rain marked by the "Zaaaa" (ザアアア) SFX for pouring rain. Now we learn the Rain Goddess is named Zaza, essentially the same sound effect.
This suggests Dragon is the current Rain God, Zaza.

Well, depends what you count as a god devil fruit.
Yamata no Orochi is considered a deity depending on the lore.
Seiryu/Kirin are considered deities in the sense of the directional guardians
The Okuchi no Makami is considered a guardian deity of Wano, and, yknow, has Kami in the name.
Pegasus is, of course, a demigod.
Now, in-verse, Nika's the only DF that's DIRECTLY referred to as being a god, obviously, and there's Imu's DF as well.
For the record, Sengoku doesn't turn into Buddha, he turns into a Buddha STATUE.

I just meant in-universe, fruits treated as gods otherwise that’s a whole other can of worms. Nearly all of the mythical zoan are associated with gods or godlike figures from an IRL inspiration perspective.

That might still going to true if we consider the Wind Wind fruit, wind at it's full power can cause a massive storms and as we know obviously, it can create a massive floods
This furthermore cemented the theory of Dragon having Wind Wind fruit from what I seen

It seems that in the past, the ice squirrel fruit was eaten by somebody else. Potentially another giant who was friends with the warrior god.
