One Piece General Discussion: Elbaph

How well would Oden do against present day Kaido?
Probably not that good

Also guys, has Oda ever portrayed Sanji > Zoro in any arc? Not in specific aspects like speed, but actually overall. Cause of memory, outside of some specific aspects, he always leans on portraying them as equals with slight differences between the two (Zoro power and Sanji speed).

I don't think so, unless you count Whole Cake, in which Sanji was most likely superior to the last time Zoro showed up, or the points where Zoro was injured or had reduced sword numbers.

Water 7 is and maybe Enies Lobby.

Since Awakening involves synchronicity with your DF, who do you think is going to Awaken or already be Awakened?

It's possible but Zoro's pretty strong now honestly
Not sure if Croc would be quite on his level
But who knows

Well, I think a few things:
1. He has to be stronger than Sanji if they're going to fight.
2. He has to be able to hold his own against Luffy if THEY'RE going to fight.
3. It can't be too much of a difference in power, because then the winner would be too definitive.
4. His DF has hax that make him a threat either way, but moisture draining would only stall Luffy.
5. He uses a poisonous piercing weapon, increasing his threat level, but Sanji can break it and Luffy resists poison
6. He probably has good Haki, so he doesn't need crazy AP
7. He'll probably have an Awakening to help him fight.
8. I think Zoro's gonna have a callback clash with Daz Bonez, and Crocodile is stronger than Daz.

What hot takes do yall have? No powerscaling takes though
I personally believe Yamato is a great character. I'll elaborate when I wake up.

Apparently this is a hot take due to all the subreddits I'm seeing pop up while trying to read memes: Wano was good. I don't care that they kept bringing up Oden, he was a relevant character. I don't care that they kept bringing up Nika in Egghead, that was a relevant character.

Base Luffy with adv con haki beats Kizaru.
The issue was always speed instead of AP
Luffy has the AP to beat Kizaru, he probably wouldn't even need G4 or G5 for it, just G2+G3 with ACoA and ACoC is enough considering what that did to Hybrid Kaido
The problem is he couldn't tag him with just G2, G3 or G4.

I think Luffy used ACoC on him in base once and it didn't do anything
Could have been basic CoA but basic CoA rarely has lightning streaks anymore
Anyway off topic but I find it funny how Cracker (not even just the biscuit soldiers, but Cracker himself) has better feats than Doflamingo

Oda should've stopped adding on Straw Hats after Robin and simply should've made Usopp both the Sniper and the Shipwright

Reiju should have joined the Straw Hats, not stayed as a slave to Judge
so true my friend. so true.

Adv con haki has lightning flowing beforehand/wearing it... 95% of the time we see the lightning being worn and then luffy attacks with it, that was never shown in egghead

He already did. Both in Base and Gear 4
What? also he said no powerscaling
😴 You replied to late to the comment, was going to say beats in terms of aura 🙈

Some people have apparently stated Zoro will most likely kill Loki.

Loki, in Ragnarok, dies in single combat with Heimdall. Heimdall is the son of the one-eyed Odin and the 9 Mothers. Zoro has one eye and, in his own 'Godly' state, wields 9 blades. Heimdall's sword is called Hǫfuð, or 'man-head,' and Zoro wields a blade with his head. Also, almost every Norse God is an alcoholic, like Zoro.

However, I don't think Zoro is represented by Heimdall. If we're going by the mythology, there's a very specific interpretation I want to look at, if we want to do the Ragnarok interpretation, which we SHOULD, considering the foreshadowing of a felling of Yggdrasil, and Luffy and the group killing 'gods.'

Odin took his eye out himself. Luffy stabbed himself in the face, directly beneath his eye. Odin's final fight is with Fenrir. This could also be Zoro, but probably not.

Obviously Shanks is Tyr, who famously sacrificed his arm in Fenrir's jaw, which could be analogized to him assisting Luffy.

Nami is probably Thor. Obviously. Could be Zoro tho.

However, Zoro is most likely Freyr, who has a sword that can fight on its own if the wielder is wise, or something. He's killed by Surtr in Ragnarok because he gave up his sword due to a giantess he fell in love with, and since Zoro would not do that, he'd probably not die. He has, however, given up a sword to a woman from a family of tall-ass dudes, but he received Enma after that.

Sanji is Baldr. Baldr is essentially invincible, to a degree where the gods had a pastime of hurling objects at him to see what would happen, but for a very specific object, mistletoe, which Loki uses to defeat him, making a spear from it and giving it to his brother, blind and unable to tell what he held, to throw at Baldr. Mistletoe, in modern mythology, represents love, Sanji's greatest weakness. In some accounts, light literally shines off of him, akin to Sanji in Diable Jambe.

But with that all in mind, who is Heimdall?

Heimdall's sword is "Man-Head." Someone who uses "a man's head" to fight, is using his brain. His mothers are sometimes shown portrayed similar to the sea, and one of the Straw Hats has a mom whose name roughly translates to "wharf" or "dock" from what I've read. He's known for especially potent sight, hearing, and foresight, like an Observation Haki user. He carries a horn that can be heard in all worlds, and one Straw Hat is especially loud. He's good with runes, which could be an object lying around that someone could learn to use.

Usopp kills Loki.

Also, Dressrosa was overall not a good arc.

It had good qualities and a fantastic villain, but it was a bad arc overall.
There are definitely many flaws to Dressrossa, but it was pretty good. I think the tournament should've been a bigger part of it, though, kinda like in Unlimited World Red.

Usopp kills Loki.
Also, Loki(god, Norse) and Usopp(god, Dressrossan) are both tricksters, so there's a parallel.
