Originally, I suggested to @Comiphorous to use Tianhuo, completely forgetting about the fact that I have just recently participated in Tricky vs Twilight Sparkle and I now have the opportunity to just redo the whole thing.

Oleander vs Tricky the Clown

  • Starting distance is 5 meters
  • Regular Tricky the Clown used

What would Tricky's first move be?

Oleander would probably start with some fighting game shenanigans, either firing projectiles at Tricky or pulling magic power out of her book.

CQC

If she starts with projectiles, unless that ***** very potent, he'll likely be able to dodge it unharmed.

Remember, fighting game character. Oleander is very skilled in combat, being far better than most unicorns, and even canonically defeating Arizona during the story mode, who is primarily a CQC fighter.

On top of this, as a zoner, not only can she throw out constant projectiles without even dipping too much into her magic reserves, but she's able to toss out magical mines that will impede him if he tries to approach, so there would have to be some crazy footwork from Tricky to dodge everything. On top of this, if her reserves do run dry, she can pull magic straight from her Unicornomicon to restore it. Hell, she can actually use the book to attack if necessary, which is incorporated to some of her moves. Basically, she's a mixed bag who can work both at a range and up-close.

And to top it all off, there's Fred, who doesn't usually join a battle unless summoned by Oleander, but he can easily make the situation a two-on-one affair. Plus, he has brute forced his way out in order to protect Oleander, so she doesn't specifically need to summon him either.

Tricky casually stomped two people who run through facilities killing hundreds of people who can one shot them and are trained to kill them.

Tricky fought can killed 4 armies all at the same time (who were the same as above) and has speed amps if she zones him, plus with his 4 resurrections he can definitely outlast them.

So what you're telling me is that it doesn't matter how skilled Oleander is, because Tricky will beat her regardless. It doesn't matter what kind of projectiles she uses, because he will outspeed it. It doesn't matter if she can double her numbers, because he's dealt with far more casually. And to top it all off, she even if she does get the upper hand, he can resurrect himself, so he'll be at full strength while she's still recovering from beating him the first time around.

Is this the gist I'm getting from your arguments?

Unless Oleander has some crazy skill feats she can pull out, yes

Yes.

Okay, Tricky has the AP advantage, the skill advantage, the speed advantage and the hax advantage.

How is this anything but a stomp?

Huh, so he is.

Welp, guess it's a stomp in the other direction then.
