Object Show General Discussion Thread: New Friendly

IT IS NOT A NEW CURRENT SEASON'S EPISODE ITS COMPLETELY NEW

I saw a comment speculating they'll use this as a way to explain certain details about season one, like where all the budget went or why the Announcer calls Needle "needy". Also, does this count as the first time a BFDI Mini contestant has competed in a main season?

But FWIW, we got a date for TPOT 21:

Just briefly but, does multiplier allow characters to tier jump after tier 2?
Because I think if it's just about the specific universe amount everyone are in, I guess Vegeta still above Pillow AP wise lol.
No, a multiplier would only give them (Multiplier number) times above baseline X universes, as the gap between n universes and n+1 universes is infinitely large.

Wait, so if this is Insectophobe's Nightmare 6, then where is Insectophobe's Nightmare 5?

Oh yeah, based on the name of the episode, it appears that we have some idea for a timeframe as to when BFDIE takes place, being that it's before BFDI 9 which is called Insectophobe's Nightmare

There's also the fact the series uses the updated limbs introduced in Insectophobe's Nightmare, meaning it likely takes place after Cycle of Life (the last episode to use the old limb assets).

Well... this is definitely going to be another high stakes episode. Oh yeah, it also seems like the post-split contestants will be involved somehow.

New episode's out

I saw TPOT 21 in theaters! Here are my thoughts.
Please don't click the spoiler thing if you don't want to be spoiled.
I really liked this episode, I am so happy Two recovered from their noodly-ness. The black goop substance is interesting, given how it can restore dead objects but corrupt non-sentient objects, and also David. Me and the person next to me in the theater were comparing it to Dandy's World ichor because of the corruption. Anyways it's nice to see X finally doing something

New episode's out

You know, the fact that TPOT 19 had a dark ending only for it to just go back to being wacky in TPOT 21 by throwing a simple challenge that only turns into an overcomplicated mess definitely marks BFDI's typical tradition. Don't really care for Bottle or Tree's eliminations, but I feel like these votes are still concerning given how in spite of Pen and Tennis Ball hardly doing anything in TPOT 19 while Liy is the MVP of BAGGED, the former 2 still end up in the top 2 by a long shot while Liy got in the bottom 2 which marks the flaw that people are solely voting out of potential BFDIA bias (At least for Tennis Ball). Same goes for Fanny still making it to the top 2 despite being out first (But honestly, I like her so).

I feel like this episode was rather unbalanced when it came to character screentime because about half of the contestants remaining literally do not appear in the episode physically due to being dead, and the team that would go UFE kinda felt predictable. Like, the moment the new teams announced were Team ALIVE and Team DEAD where the latter team cannot do anything due to literally being dead, it would make it feel like the chance of Team ALIVE winning was <1% while the chance of Team DEAD was >99%, yet lo and behold, some anticlimactic Deus Ex Machina bullshit just happens and Team DEAD ends up winning because Golf Ball died very shortly before she unlocked the door to Two's room. I pretty much expected this outcome to occur as I recall that BFDIA 10 did this with The Beautiful Face Devotion Institute VS Fries, where what would seem to be a one-sided matchup due to it being a 12V1 would end up ending in the most predictable Deus Ex Machina moment, and I honestly don't like it when the prediction becomes too obvious before the twist.

That said, I voted Liy twice to be saved as she really needs more screentime and I've been starting to like her. Thinking that Book and Marker will get out because they haven't done much in the episode (Especially given how the latter was literally in the bottom 2 of votes last time).

Now, in terms of new stuff from the episode I'd like to talk about:

Ngl, I'm pretty sure it was just a setup episode for the following ones so this one being kind of filler is acceptable, but I don't understand the point of doing a challenge these times if Two don't have that limitless power for the winner anyways? He could have just asked contestants to open the door normally.

And I'm not even talking about half of the fans that really wanted a challenge (yet it's not even the moment for it bruh) and aren't happy with this specific challenge, like what else do y'all want, it's not like the main host is sealed in his chamber with that low multiversal door lol.

Some also argued Two could've just jumped through the window yet he struggled lifting a marker for days, no way he would've survived that anyways.

Here comes the usual TPOT problems with pacing, even if this one was kinda good, there's no way an episode can focus on everyone unless it's an actual 2 hours long movie, we didn't had Black Hole, Pencil, TPOT Eliminated contestants, One, Leafy, a very little of Exitors 2.0 and so on.

(And they had me on the end, I thought Two or anyone else were taking the new teams or challenge seriously lol)

Personally I think it would be better to make some parts such as TPOT 21 Part 1, 2 ect... so we have an overall POV of ongoing events on everyone by knowing it happens at the same time as TPOT 21 challenge, but that's just me.

Also at the very end, we have seen Fanny couldn't be recovered despite the recovery center working, I think it's either X messed with it or One did a new victim.

Honestly, I more so interpreted it as X having recovered Fanny just before Taggy could recover her with the WRC remote, hence why it failed to recover her. Not to mention, that scene of Taggy attempting to recover Fanny wasn't in the theater cut.
Ngl, I am very confused on why we even have a competition rn, Two lacks the price, and the world is literally ruined. Surely everyone has higher concerns right about now no?
To be fair, these are the same contestants who decided to still do challenges during a zombie apocalypse, their timeline being in the process of collapsing (Which they would end up making worse mind you), and after the sky turned into black goo (With that challenge only making things worse as One would end up getting Two and Four's powers while the WRC's screen got destroyed and a majority of everyone died, which only gives more of a reason to hate TV because he started that challenge out of pettiness without Four's consent even after everything that happened). In other words, they just rarely care about the current state of their world because they're way too focused on the competition (With maybe the exception of Golf Ball of course).

Plus, these are also the same contestants who decided to compete for a poor quality small piece of "farmland" back in BFDIA.

Anyways, new episode's out

Wait a min... Technically Black Hole was still locked in One's Dimension, at the end it was surely the moment he rejected her deal, which made Fanny earsed from existance through the same way Barf Bag was erased because Donut rejected her deal in the first place, I guess it's still possible that it's what happened.

Yo guys, what do you think about my II R profile for MePhone4?

Also, I'll probably continue calcs once Remastered is finished, I'll assume they'd probably be like tier 7 from the Bow being hit around the world feat because that would still probably be kept in.

You're missing that one feat of Pepper throwing the frisbee to the cloud in episode 5, which compared to the original feat should actually be higher due to it being fired and travelling at a fixed angle while the original had the frisbee go in an arc.

That said, I think it's best we wait for the remaster to finish before we actually make the remastered profiles.

Sounds good to me, I'll probably keep the MePhone4 profile up still for future use.
