I don't know how Adam could kill the concept of Death but he could made everyone stop wishing for death and fall wouldn't happen.
Maruki i think is indeed stronger than Nyx but don't know if he could kill her but i guess he could seal.

Expect that by Nyx Core, you can't summon a Persona. In game, the option isn't available, and Great Seal is cast without one.

In the movies, Messiah dissolves when Makoto gets close.
And In the Weird Masquerade, Shiomi attempts to summon their Persona, and fails.
Using a Persona - a mask - against what's the mother of the psyche itself is stupid. It doesn't have any logic. You are using a fragment of the whole to fight the whole itself...
