Well, Typhus the Traveller's Destroyer Hive was overwhelming daemon Mortario, and his Scythe, Manreaper, has plagues straight from Nurgle's Garden. He breaks resistances all the time, and can directly siphon then life force of his enemies to the domain of Nurgle. Nurgle's blessing also makes him very, very durable and pretty much immune to pain.
Typhus isn't like "average" nurgle follower though.
