Don't know if I should take this to calc forum or not...

Anyway, what would anyone say is the range of this explosio in the top panel?

I'm making a profile and I want to be accurate as possible.

BTW, the planet is Earth, if that helps any.

Picture (screw pixel halving limit)

Equatorial radius = 6378.1 km ~= 6378 px

Polar radius = 6356.8 km ~= 6357 px

Blast diameter = 87.20665112 px ~= 87.20665112 km

Blast radius = 43.60332556 km = 43603.32556 m

Several assumptions for different ends

1.) non-nuclear airblast

Yield = (43.60332556/0.28)^3/1000/2 = 1888.229381 megaton TNT (Large Mountain level)

2.) nuclear airblast

Yield = (43.60332556/0.28)^3/1000/2 = 3776.458761 megaton TNT (Large Mountain level+)

3.) ground based blast

Yield = (43.60332556*1000)^3*((27136*1.37895 + 8649)^(1/2)/13568 - 93/13568)^2/1000000 = 6662.60944 megaton TNT (Island level)
