They didn't downplayed any of his stats, in fact it's the very opposite. They do however downplayed his quirks mostly Gear Shift which only grants Deku a 20% or 1,2x speed amp

- Gearshift being downplayed Claimed that Gearshift only increases speed and is a 20% increase throughout random
- Fa Jin's ability to amplify users base powers and especially Gearshift were more or less ignored in the post analysis lol
