My Hero Academia General Discussion Thread #18

At this point i want the villains to win, its just makes sense.Like how do you win with prime AFO,SHIGS and now flashfire dabi

Also how is Dabi even using Phosphor? The technique relies on fusing ice with the fire and not fire alone.. does that mean Dabi tapped into his genes or something? Can he control his fire’s temperature to a large extent?

no idea.
maybe what he copied is the fact of using his heart or something?

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
-if Afo's suit was destroyed
-does not have freckles
-all 3 fields need help
-deku is still missing
!!!WE ARE DEAD!!!

Okay, after the two week break we're back and I'm shock to see we're continuing where we left off. Bakugo lying dead on the ground and Jeanist confirming his heart has been ripped to shreds. Also just noticing that Jeanist is injured for some reason. I think the shockwave attack Shigaraki used against Mirko, Egdeshot and Bakugo hit him off screen. He was shown rushing Shigaraki next to Mirko, but he wasn't in the panel itself when Shiggy attacked.

I never thought about Bakugo's 4-0 no casualty line was foreshadowing. Monoma and Jeanist are both frozen in disbelief. Mirio feeling horrible about being unable to keep his word, he couldn't keep everyone safe until Izuku arrived. Also both of his arms are now bleeding, did he take another hit?

Jeanist is doing something in the amazing panel of T-Posing Shiggy, we can see the fiber on his sleeves are doing something. Mirko is captured by Shigaraki's growth, which has already destroyed her prosthetics. While I completely adore Mirko, Shigaraki better not just toss her to the side or something. Either someone saves her or he kills her, don't make him do anything stupid by getting overconfident.

Going back to Shoto and Dabi, and I already know this means Dabi is causing the clouds isn't he? I knew it! Holy moly he's copying Shoto's Phosphor, I wonder how deep the copy goes. But regardless that's a degree of power mimicry right there. Shoto didn't even explain how it works to him, yet he got it down so quickly.

How did I forget about Skeptic and his satellite? The Nomu all have commutation equipment on them, and likely other villains as well. They've had the ability to learn where everyone else is this entire time. If the U.A. Electric Barrier wasn't there I'm certain Skeptic would've found Shigaraki already.

Which also means those things approaching Izuku could be villains. Reporting to Skeptic that Izuku was at the island, and finding him with the satellite. Oh no Skeptic is trying to get into the U.A. systems, if he does that he'll find Shigaraki and AFO will rush towards him after finishing off Endeavor and the others.

But what is Skeptic doing to the evacuation systems? He's actually going to attack the civilians? Also I just realized the guy who killed Midnight was likely taking out a communicator to contact Skeptic and inform him about where Machia is being held I bet. Oh god Gigantomachia is going to be freed isn't he? And Skeptic knows where the U.A. evacuation place is underground because AFO's informants are still inside and haven't been found.

And the final panel, AFO in his prime returning. In the first war the heroes launched an attack on the villains who weren't prepared. This time is different, the villains were able to make preparations because they knew something like this would happen, and now the heroes are the ones who are scrambling.

Unless this show becomes Izuku saves everyone singlehandedly, we need backup quickly. Izuku also has to fight AFO, if AFO is left alone he'll find Shigaraki and Prime AFO and Complete Shigaraki are 100% impossible to defeat together. There is just no way anyone, even OFA can handle both of them at once.

And Endeavor isn't doing anything to AFO as he is now. Please show me Koichi and Captain Celebrity arrive. Show me Gentle Criminal helping out somewhere. La Brava versus Skeptic in hacking, trying to prevent him from getting into the U.A. systems. She's perfect for the job.

Izuku can't be at the same 45% he was at Jaku either, there is no way he'd be of any help if he hasn't gotten any stronger. Considering Horikoshi is having Izuku sent so far away, there is no way he wouldn't be a game changer. I really need to see Izuku do some crazy crap, beyond what he's done before.

This is another amazing chapter and is something we all knew was coming.

Watch those people Izuku saw be all the extra help from other heroes coming in hot.

great analysis, really liking the direction we’re going.

Also, is that Dabi feat going to change? Going by where everyone’s standing, he made those clouds in literal seconds. Like, these clouds formed RIGHT after they thought he was down, Shoto and Iida are even in the exact same position they were chapters ago.

Also Dabi might need a form of Immortality or something at this point, cause he is simply not going to die at all.

I don't know if it'll change the feat since he's making the clouds (CAPE), not that he's moving them (KE). But I'm not an expert on CAPE calcs, I only know KE stuff. But if this likely is Dabi, which the chapter heavily implies it is, then that's a really impressive feat. Even if the results are not high enough for High 6-C.

Dabi is fueled by pure rage, he's without a doubt not making it to the end of the series alive. Once all of this is over he's dying, his body can't come back from this. Unless Eri is going to be working overtime to make everyone better. I don't see Dabi making it, regardless if he finds peace or not.

Unfortunately CAPE doesn’t use timeframes in the calculations, only actual cloud dispersion does. Feat is still 7-A+ to High 7-A

Not an upgrade, but at least it’ll give us High 7-A top tiers if the cloud shenanigans get revised

he says that since jeanist is using his quirk while he is touching bakugou it increases the chances that he will mend his heart
what do you think?

Also just looked at it, we need to use the condensation value instead of cape, as Touya made it from heat and not wind quote from the page “C.A.P.E should be used if clouds are created together with a lot of wind. If the C.A.P.E. value is lower than the condensation value, use condensation instead”

Unless Horikoshi is about to pull out some BS medical knowledge, stitching his heart wouldn't make his heart better again or start beating. Still has a hole in it from exploding, forcing the wound closed doesn't change the fact it still ruptured. His body can't heal that damage either, so even Recovery Girl's Quirk wouldn't be helpful. And that burst could've damaged both of the major arteries.

Basically stitching his heart together with fiber isn't enough to help him. Unless Horikoshi reveals his heart didn't literally burst and it was just a fake out.

Cant nitroglycerin restart the heart? I know it’s used in heart attacks and stuff like that

His heart burst open. Restarting his heart is absurd when his heart has a hole that came from a burst inside of it.

Like I said, the only way Bakugo lives under normal methods is if they reveal that panel didn't really happen and his heart is still in one piece. There is no medicine in this world that can save that kind of damage, the only hope would be a heart transplant.

Stitching isn't healing, just forcing a wound close to stop bleeding. But the problem is that Bakugo isn't dying from bleeding, his heart has stopped because it physically cannot work with a hole on it. If Bakugo's heart had just stopped beating, yes I'd say with 100% certainty he'd come back.

But his heart didn't just stop beating, he has a hole in his heart. His heart exploded from the inside.

Maybe he will get a heart transplant or a cybernetic heart. That seems to be the only way for now. Hoping Mei and Momo can cook up something. Bring out the nano-machines or something. Cyborg Bakugo.

Basically if this panel of his heart didn't exist, I wouldn't even hesitate to say Bakugo is going to live.

Finding away to restart his heart would be very possible. Especially since fiction believes electricity/defibrillators are capable of restarting a stopped heart. They can't but fiction in general seems to think that so that's always something that can happen. And we don't know if Horikoshi knows that are not.

Also Nitroglycerin helps widen the blood vessels so more blood gets to your heart muscle. But Bakugo's heart has burst open, it doesn't have a problem getting blood inside of it. It also doesn't restart the heart either. His heart is damaged and isn't beating, CPR would help keep him alive longer.

Using CPR to pump the oxygen rich blood he still had from when he was breathing would keep him alive for longer. Usually people do this in hopes of the heart beating again, but Bakugo needs that wound to somehow heal first. Stitching it together won't work. Or Horikoshi is unaware and will have Jeanist stitch his heart together.

An artificial heart could save him. They'd need to transplant Bakugo somewhere quickly where they can do that and not worry about Shigaraki attacking them.

I just realized something: a lot of people had pointed out that even if Kurogiri got freed, he wouldn't be much help since he didn't know where everybody was. But this chapter established that Skeptic knows where everybody is and can relay that info...

See where I'm going with this?
Skeptic’s existence ***** the entirety of the heroes plan, yes. He now can relay information to anyone from anywhere and influence the entire war. And no one from the heroes side can stop him.

But you know who can stop him?

You know who HAS stopped him before?

La Brava

@Mazdoesstuff

We need feats that can scale to early 100% Deku and USJ All Might so all top tiers can scale via High-End Nomu scaling.

No one scales from this Deku, not even Prime All Might (it might change if Shiggy can keep up with 100% Deku, but it doesn't seem like Deku have reached that percentage yet).

I also don't think characters like Best Jeanist or Mirko should be fully scaling from Completed Shiggy, only Bakugo after his Cluster evolution.

My headcanon is that Deku is using 75% currently, which should be still inferior to his early 100%.
