Introductio
This CRT is a collection of many proposed changes to most Monogatari profiles. As large as adding two new keys to a character, and as small as adding more justifications for current statistics. Also included is a clarification on a few things that I've had as "unwritten rules" for a while. At the end, I'll finish off with some changes that I considered but ultimately rejected for one reason or another, and any matches that might need to be removed.
Aberrations - Type 3 Conceptual Beings With A Weakness
Aberrations, also known as apparitions, oddities, yokai, and kaii, are supernatural beings within Monogatari. From this thread it was settled upon them being type 3 conceptual beings (as they're abstract and govern all reality), while having a weakness similar to type 4's (as they get altered by the perception of humans). To get this across, I'll add the following to the explanations section of the verse page:
Aberrations (also known as apparitions, oddities, yokai, and kaii) are supernatural beings within Monogatari. They exist because humans exist and behave as humans expect them to. If humanity's beliefs on them were to change, their forms would change too. If an aberration acts against its nature The Darkness will manifest and attempt to erase that aberration and any who witnessed it.
Anime Canonicity - Can An Ordinary Middle-Schooler Destroy A Bridge?
After discussion with people knowledgeable on the verse that aren't part of the wiki, I've come to the conclusion that the anime should be taken as secondary canon, as backup visuals for getting a better estimate for calcs, and that feats which come purely as anime-only visuals should be disregarded. An explanation, as follows, will be added to the "explanations" section of the verse page:
Monogatari's anime adaptation is extremely faithful to the novels. All the dialogue and narration is lifted from the novels, only cutting it down for brevity. But as anime is a visual medium, it often adds visuals that weren't described in the novels. At times these can be obviously surreal and absurd, but sometimes they're more contentious.
To stay faithful to the source material, the anime will be used as secondary canon. Visuals of events described in the novels can be used to get a better estimate for calculations, but purely visual feats that are absent from the novels should be disregarded.

Changelog
Any changes I considered coming into this revision project, but which I rejected for one reason or another.
The only matches that needs to be reconsidered are Shinobu's victory against Aku (now that Shinobu's time travel only lets her travel to parallel universes) and her loss against Kenshiro (with her upper bound of MHS gone this speed unequal fight is possibly just a stomp).
EDIT 1: Upper bound of MHS for Shinobu's speed (assuming timeframe of 1 minute) has been changed to "far higher" (since assuming any particular timeframe for the jump seems unreasonable, but the almost an hour estimate from the calc is likely too long).
EDIT 2: As per the new statement on anime canonicity, Shinobu's Fire Manipulation has been removed from her second key. She used this once in Kizu's anime adaptation and this attack wasn't mentioned in the novels.
EDIT 3: I didn't realize Multiple Personalities was a power, gave it to Tsubasa Hanekawa.

Tier: Varies. At least 9-A, possibly higher | At least Low 6-B, likely far higher Name: Shinobu Oshino, Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade Origin: Monogatari Gender: Female Age: 599 years Classification: Human, Vampire Powers and Abilities: Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Shapeshifting, Matter Manipulation, Weapon Creation, Immortality (Types 1 and 3), Regenerationn (At least Low, her Regenerationn could be less than it was at full power, but it's at least strong enough to instantly heal a scrape), Enhanced Senses, Darkness Manipulation, Healing, Absorption, Creation, Cloth Manipulation, Time Manipulation, Portal Creation, Weight Manipulation, Life Manipulation and Regen Nullification with Energy Drain (Should be superior to a Meddlecat's energy drain, which can stop Low-Mid regen), Durability Negation, Death Manipulation, and Non-Physical Interaction with Kokorowatari sword (Can cut through any supernatural being and kill them with a single scratch, including ghosts and selectively tangible beings, useless otherwise, as it simply phases through targets without dealing any harm to them), Weapon Mastery, Body Control, Limited Mind Manipulation, Duplication (Created a second equally powerful copy of herself in Shinobu Figure), Adhesivity, Limited Flight (Created a weak pair of wings and flew at a slower speed than usual) possibly Resistance to Death Manipulation (Vampires can recover from Kokorowatari's induced death through sheer Regenerationn) | All previous abilities plus Regenerationn (At least Mid-High. Should be greater than or at least comparable to Seishirou Shishirui who can regenerate after being burnt to ashes), Telekinesis, Flight, Intangibility (As fog), Weather Manipulation, Corruption, Resistance to Death Manipulation (Vampires can recover from Kokorowatari's induced death through sheer Regenerationn), Poison Manipulation (Regenerates from Poison as it takes effect, or even before it does), and Fire Manipulation (Can regenerate from high temperatures to a normal one) Attack Potency: Varies (Becomes more powerful as she sucks more of Koyomi's blood). At least Small Building level (Superior to Suruga Kanbaru and comparable to Tsubasa Hanekawa), possibly higher | At least Small Country level (Kiss-Shot Travelled all the way from Antarctica to Japan with a single jump, the recoil of which nearly destroyed the continent of Antarctica. The impact of her landing obliterated a lake. She emits powerful shockwaves just by laughing. Dragged clouds from the sea to cause rain. Extremely casually created a shrine and turned it to dust on a whim), likely far higher (All these feats are casual and the true extent of her powers when serious is unknown) Speed: SuperHuman flight speed (Flew at a little over 119 kph), At least Supersonic otherwise (Easily broke the sound barrier when jumping over a thousand feet in the blink of an eye) | At least Hypersonic+ (She traveled all the way from Antarctica to Japan with a single jump, this was given a lower-bound through a calculation of mach 22.5. Casually blitzed Koyomi "So saying, Kissshot jumped lightly. The next instant after she jumped, she appeared right in front of me -- in a position with our legs crossed alternated." (Kizumonogatari, ch. 17), likely far higher (There's no timeframe for the jump, the mach 22.5 number just assumes she couldn't have left Earth during the jump) ...{Unchanged profile information redacted}... Range: Standard melee range normally, several meters with Kokorowatari, tens of meters via throwing swords | Standard melee range normally, several meters with Kokorowatari, much higher via throwing swords, shockwaves, shapeshifting etc Standard Equipment: Demon sword Kokorowatari Intelligence: Average normally, Genius when it comes to supernatural related things. Weaknesses: While she is technically vulnerable to most vampire weaknesses, such as being weak to the sun, garlic, crosses, and the like, her Regenerationn overcomes and effectively nullifies them. Kokorowatari sword only works against supernatural beings, it cannot harm normal people or objects. Certain special rituals can prevent her from regenerating. Vampires and other aberrations slowly stop existing if they stop being observed and recalled, though this process would take almost a century to complete for Kiss-shot. Notable Attacks/Techniques:

Speed: Supersonic (Easily killed an oddity which repeatedly tagged Hanekawa and Shinobu, broke the sound barrier when jumping, casually jumps this quickly) ...{Unchanged profile information redacted}... |
- Tsubasa Hanekawa
- Split into three keys; human (Tsubasa Hanekawa), meddlecat (Black Hanekawa), and tiger (Kako)
- Tsubasa Hanekawa has Memory Manipulation/Empathic Manipulation for being able to subconsciously sever inconvenient memories/emotions. [1] [2] [3]
- Tsubasa Hanekawa has Creation for being able to turn her severed emotions into aberrations. [4] [5]
- Tsubasa Hanekawa has Multiple Personalities for having Black Hanekawa as an alternate personality.
- Black Hanekawa doesn't feel physical fatigue due to being an aberration; thus moving human bodies using a different set of rules than a human. [6]
- Black Hanekawa can withstand high temperatures due to being an aberration. [7]
- Black Hanekawa's energy drain can heal wounds. [8]
- Black Hanekawa's existing power of "Doesn't make any sound while walking" now links to Stealth Mastery.
- Kako is physically stronger than Black Hanekawa, with the latter saying she's nothing in comparison. [9]
- Kako is faster than Black Hanekawa, with the latter calling Kako "super fast". [10]
- Kako burns down everything Tsubasa Hanekawa envies. [11] [12] [13]
- Kako's whole body is flames. [14]
- Koyomi Araragi
- His Regenerationn rating now mentions both his instant High-Mid regen and his longer-term Mid-High regen, which were both already described in his notable attacks/techniques.
- His enhanced senses are now explained in his notable attacks/techniques, including how his enhanced eyesight expands his field of view and lets him see fine details. [15] [16]
- Added immortality type 2 for staying alive with his heart destroyed and not regenerating. [17]
- Shinobu Oshino
- Under her notable attacks/techniques > shape shifting and matter generation, I added her feat of making a pistol for Koyomi in Koyomimonogatari. [18]
- Under her notable attacks/techniques > mind searching, I added the feat of her using that technique to forget memories rather than remember them. [19] [20]
- Since her time travel to the past in Kabuki was done by making a portal to another timeline, I gave her portal creation. [21]
- Adding to her speed justification, that when she was shown breaking the sound barrier there, in the novels she jumped over a thousand feet in the blink of an eye. [22]
- Added her limited flight in quasi-vampire form to her abilities and speed. [23] [24]
- With Shinobu's jump speed being calculated, there's no more need for her lower-bound of Supersonic+.
The higher bound of MHS is (as of now) being kept as it assumes a more reasonable timeframe (1 minute). The higher bound of MHS is being replaced with "far higher", since there's no timeframe it's unreasonable to assume one. - Her weakness section was overhauled due to learning more about how her weaknesses actually affect her. [25] [26]
- As part of the weakness revamp, she was given resistance to Poison Manipulation from sheer Regenerationn. [27]
- She was given resistance to Fire Manipulation from sheer Regenerationn. [28]
- Adding her feat of turning her shrine to dust on a whim to her AP justification. [29]
- As per the new statement on anime canonicity, her Fire Manipulation has been removed from her second key. She used this once in Kizu's anime adaptation and this attack wasn't mentioned in the novels.
- Nadeko Sengoku
- Izuko Gae
- Descriptions of her swords were moved to notable attacks/techniques
- Yumewatari's description was clarified to only heal wounds inflicted by Kokorowatari. [38]
- The Darkness
- Yotsugi Ononoki
- Added a supporting feat for her speed rating of her breaking the sound barrier. [41]
Any changes I considered coming into this revision project, but which I rejected for one reason or another.
- Tsubasa Hanekawa
- Tsubasa Hanekawa's rumored to be able to supply her times tables up to 500 without thinking. Since this is only a rumor and is never tested, and she already has other solid intellect feats, I decided not to add it to her profile. [42]
- Black Hanekawa mentioned while standing atop of an apartment complex that if she really tried to jump she'd destroy the apartment under her. Since this is vague whether it's referring to destroying a small apartment (probably 9-A) or the entire complex (8-C), and since it was a mere statement and never shown, I can't confidently use this to upgrade her to 8-C. [43]
- Koyomi Araragi
- Being able to shapeshift, particularly into mist for intangibility, is described as a common vampire characteristic, and most vampires demonstrate it at one point or another. However, since Araragi had lots of trouble shapeshifting, only being able to shapeshift his arms into trees due to his affinity for plants, he probably doesn't have the skill necessary to shapeshift into mist. [44]
- Shinobu Oshino
- During Otorimonogatari, Kita-Shirahebi shrine was destroyed. Out of the three people there, Shinobu was the most likely one to have been able to do it (one has no other feats higher than 10-B, and one was surprised by it being destroyed), but it was never exactly clear that she did. On top of this, it's unclear if she was at baseline power or above it. All of this makes the feat hard to work with, so I'm not incorporating it. [45] [46] [47] [48] [49]
- Kokorowatari
- It turns out the mention of Kokorowatari being able to cut through any and all oddities was a rephrasing of it being a "blade for killing the kaii. Just the kaii" and being "An unparalleled sword in front of a kaii". However, the series seems to have multiple feats of it negating durability, Gaen at one point encounters a barrier that she can only destroy through the use of Kokorowatari. Araragi (who only has feats topping out at 10-B with this level of strength) threw Kokorowatari and it pierced Kako (a 9-A aberration). Even more impressively, Shinobu made 4 replicas of Kokorowatari in her child (9-A) form to challenge her full (Low 6-B) form. Given these feats of durability negation, I'm comfortable leaving it with Durability Negation, even though the original quote didn't exist.
