Not only are they not robots, but it's actually heavily suggested that she's responsible for the enhancements of the Talon soldiers.

As noted already in this thread, even though she was with Blackwatch, she may have already had intimate ties with Talon behind the scenes, which could explain why she was able to incapacitate the soldiers. She knows how their bodies work, so it makes sense that she could do that to them.

God, I'm really not talking in favor of Moira here. Personally, despite all this, I still think she can syphon life from robots and machinery.

It's not relevant to Edward, but since the topic got brought up we may as well conclusively decree that it shouldnm't work on robots without those robots being stated to have life forces.

I think someone asked if Edward can block her beam with his arm. I would say he probably can't. If Moira can bypass heavily armored Talon soldiers, then she can bypass a metal arm.

Also seeing as Athena is going to be a future champion who is an android she will be able to affect her too
