Was honestly going to wait on making an extensive thread about abilities in this verse in general, but this one in particular annoys me, so you have this thread.
Anyways, per Strike Back’s profile:
To give a quick understanding, the power of Ox Miraculous is sort of an inverse take on Invulnerability. Instead of being invulnerable to physical trauma, the Ox Miraculous makes the user invulnerable specifically to superpowers — but not impervious to physical trauma. The actual name of this power within the show is ”Resistance”. With that clear, let’s proceed.
This has two points to be addressed.
Even if we ignore absolutely all of this and say Minotaurox was indeed using his Resistance and it indeed blocks every sort of superpower including enhanced physicals, nothing stops Strikeback from pulling him the middle finger and taking him out by throwing something at him. Speaking of which:
(If it wasn’t clear at this point, Strikeback defeating the Miraculers happens off-screen)
Tl;dr: the assumptions one needs to make for this ability to be a thing are far too many, far too big to be a plausible thing reflected on a profile.

- Ladybug has no understanding about how Strikeback’s abilities work. She didn’t even knew if Strikeback was a Sentimonster or an Akumatized villain at this point.
- Invulnerability, and with this I even include the all power encompassing one, should not grant an inherent invulnerability to a power like Power Mimicry without any form of proof. With this, I mean that Power Mimicry isn’t an ability that takes any form of effect in the person with invulnerability, but on the one using the power; to put it simply, saying that Minotaurox is inmune to having his power copied by Strikeback doesn’t holds more weight than suggesting a shapeshifter will not be able to mimic his appearance.
Several things here.
- There’s absolutely no proof that Minotaurox is using his Resistance here (If this wasn’t clear earlier, Special Miraculous’ powers require conscious activation), there’s actually proof of the exact opposite, with Ladybug specifically telling the Miraculers not to.
- The Ox Miraculous’ Invulnerability encompassing the physical strength Akumatized Villains and Sentimonster posses is an extremely charitable assumption. Miraculous Holders also receive their physicals out of their Miraculous, yet they are still able to damage users of Resistance without triggering the power.
- The examples used here have no reason to be assumed to come out of the physicals, but the powers of the characters interacting with the the power of Resistance. Going one by one:
Penalteam has the power to make everyone she faults with her soles mid-game get teleported into one of her forcefields.
El Toro de Piedra’s whip turns everyone it strikes into a stone bull.
Shadybug isn’t an Akumatized villain or a Sentimonster. She’s a Miraculous Holder. Her Lucky Charm is what’s being blocked because it is her special power. The equivalent from the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous would be an Akuma or an Amok.
