He should have instinctive reactions for the following scan, albeit slightly different than what people usually get this ability for. Essentially, he was talking about how powerful he is and how he always pulls his punches at the last moment.

yeah, i think it's been stated elsewhere too that him holding back is basically built into his mind at this point so i agree
