Now, as some of you might know, we scale the Minecraft Player's lifting strength off of the fact that he can lift and swing around whole gold blocks with ease, which weigh roughly 19,3 tonnes each. Anything more than that is considered hammerspace, so we he's stuck at Class 25.

HOWEVER, the Player is also capable of lifting an Enchanted Golden Apple, which is crafted by using 8 gold blocks, which with some very simple math gives about 154,4 tonnes or Class K lifting strength.

This would affect the Player and any who scale with him or above, such as Iron Golems. Discuss...I suppose?

What about Shulker Boxes? Theoretically the player could hold an infinite amount of items regardless if it is golden blocks or diamonds...

I think this is game mechanics, similar to how the Iron Golem is made out of 4 iron blocks but his model actually has less than 2 and no pumpkin.

The materials that made the item are still there. Sure, it's likely some kind of magic, but I think transmuting the entirety of it to "poof gone" is worse than just taking it at face value.

Regardless, I should probably get someone else knowledgeable on the verse as well here.

I mean, you need 1 cubic meter of coblestone to make a shovel, but it is clear that the stone part there is way less than a cubic meter, either that or that shovel is really dense

I see and have heard the argument either way. Yes, the god/notch/enchanted/whatever name you wanna stick to it/etc apple is indeed crafted out of that amount of apples, and the argument of game mechanics is very realistic.

Considering the fact that a single cubic meter of crafting bench is crafted from four cubic meters of planks which in turn are crafted from one cubic meter of wood, I lean towards the latter- this seems like game mechanics rather than an actual lifting strength feat.

Apologies, skeleton all-father.

Nah, is fine, I suppose it was half-baked anyway. Still, I'd like to get some more confirmation from others before I use Splash Potion of Yeeting on this thread.

Fair enough, fair enough. I shall wait.

It being made using X amount of material doesn't mean that ALL of the material was crammed into this one space. You use 4 Obsidian blocks to make what is basically half a block, you use 5 glass blocks to make...basically just a gold block. And you use an entire golden apple to make a goddamn banner pattern. I think it's far more logical and safe to assume that there is leftover material left that we just don't see when we craft something.

You can't stack infinite shulkers anyways, shulkers with stuff in them can't go in other shulkers.

Jokes on you, I already punched myself in the face for this.

On that note, I still need a good "thread delet" GIF for meself.
