Minecraft discussion thread

From the Mountain, it is refer as lifeforce draining instead of Death hax
Yeah, that’s just blatant life steal hax, maybe even age manip if we want to take the 100 years old statement as literal

We can probably even give it soul absorption given how life and soul energy seems to be kinda interchangeable in MC lore, shown through all the dungeons descriptions on it

i dont think the 100 years is literal, but still is lifeforce draining hax yeah

Actually, looking at our death manip page:
This can manifest as the inexplicable death of an individual, the direct cessation of biological functions, dispersal of life force and more, being able to affect anything from plant and animal life to possibly even abstract forces and concepts.
So I guess life drain still counts as death manipulation?
But... if you don't actually need to control the concept of death for the ability to count, then wtf even is death manipulation anyway? Is it just anything that can kill someone semi-quickly? THAT APPLIES TO MOST ABILITIES, YOU DON'T NEED TO LIST IT AS A SEPARATE THING
ATP, it's more of an ability decoration than an ability in its own right, 90% of cases, it's just another thing to fluff up profiles and look cool.

Fair enough

Changing of topic, someone had manage to found any place where read the manga for free, i only found the first chapters

Hey just wondering how Big Magma Cube is 8-B? None of it's scans supports it not being 8-C
The current state of Minecraft scaling is a horrendous, illogical mess, that's why. Why else do you think I've been spending the past year trying to overhaul it so it actually makes sense?
(Spoiler: big Magma Cubes will be downgraded to just upscaling Zombies in AP, and their dura will downscale 3x the Zombies', so 8-C for both stats)

I’m looking over the synopsis of various MC novels, and there is a CONCERNING amount of times where the real world is either referenced or integral to the plot, like, one of them literally references the end poem, so now I’m worried that I’ll need to potentially deal with f*cking 1-A Minecraft arguments later on (I’m probably gonna be killed for ts)

Make tier 2-C ender dragon first 🗣

There should be an ability like toon force but for like, video games rather than cartoons

Like, for characters who abuse the fact their in a video game to their own advantage, like using glitches or in-universe game mechanics

I guess it’d fall under fourth wall breaking but it also feels kinda different? Idk I’m just rambling

@IDK3465 yo I found something (spoilers for minecraft novels, I made the image really small just in case)

Please, PLEASE let this be hyperbole, PLEASE
swallowing galaxies is a odd ass thing to do as hyperbole tbh
and from I'm hearing, the ender dragon is supposed to be some sort of god, so it would add up (even if I haven't read them so take it with a grain of salt)

ok hearing more (my source is discord lmao so again read the damn novels lmao)
"it is capable of destroying not only the end but also the Overworld in another novel"

gang. GANG

okokok, first off, in MC lore, the goal of the Endermen is to destroy all dimensions by slowly and steadily taking apart the blocks that are fundamental to sustaining their existence (like the Well of Fate), so Jean could just be referring to that rather than her literally consuming entire dimensions whole.
Secondly, the novels aren't primary canon, but secondary canon, so anything that contradicts the primary canon (aka, the main game and Dungeons) shouldn't be used, and I really shouldn't need to tell you how much of an outlier this would be for the main game, right?!

Maybe we can give the Ender Dragon some kind of AE from this? Idk, I love to wank thoroughly analyze Minecraft as much as the next guy, but this is kinda pushing it imo. I'd sooner use the Wither creating storms to argue for 7-B physicals before even coming close to using this statement to get 2-C Steve

tbh

Ender dragon affect the End which is a universe

“I have said all this before and I will say it again. I hate you, Fin. I hate you, Mo. I hate you more than the last time I told you I hated you,” Grumpo began. “The ender dragon is the heart of this world. It beats in the center of the End, round and round in circles, steady as a pulse. Nothing works without ED. And since the beginning, humans have come questing after it. To find ED and kill it for no particular good reason other than that it is killable. Every time my poor doggo dies, another one must be born. That cycle was perfectly acceptable. A world must have a heart. The ender dragon vanishes, an egg appears in its place, and a new ender dragon rises. But something as powerful and ancient and loyal to the Great Chaos who is its master does not die without leaving…a wake. Let’s call it that. When a ship passes by at great speed, the sea churns and ripples after it as water is displaced and replaced again. That is what happens when the ender dragon dies. What is going to happen in about…oh, I would wager ten to fifteen minutes, give or take. A great wake pulses out from its body. It travels through the End like the tide. It touches everything and everyone. And it makes them forget. The world resets. What came before is gone. There is only the now.” (Chapter 21 from The End novel)

Maybe just give her key?

Enviornmental Destruction I'm afraid, good hax I guess though

Ok, just to clarify, I'm ok with 'ol Jean having 2-C environmental destruction and some extra pretty busted hax from this, but like... I really hate the idea of tier 3/2 Steve, the only things that should have that rating are the Admins and the Command Block from Story Mode, at least that f*cking MAKES SENSE in the story and doesn't completely break how... EVERYTHING is

I DO NOT WANT STEVE TO BECOME ANOTHER KRATOS OR DOOM SLAYER, I CAN'T HANDLE THAT KINDA HEAT RN

also, are we giving novel minecraft guys separate pages? since they aren't canon
Well, the novels kinda fall under Pokemon canon rules in that, while the events shown within them aren't canon, they are still meant to reflect the overall worldbuilding and logic under which the MC verse operates under, so they are (mostly) usable for cosmology, scaling, and clairification stuff, but the main canon is still prioritised over what we see in the secondary novel canon (hence why I'm so ademently against 3-C or 2-C Ender Dragon)

The only exception to this rule is Rise of the Arch-Ilager, which directly ties into Dungeons as a canon prequel and is confirmed canon by WoG

Wait, are you guys talking about that End's novel? Because that's totally no canon, as the author herself of that novel says that the book isn't canon and she wrote whatever she wanted because Jeb told her that it wasn't going to matter to actual Minecraft's story at all, so she could do whatever she wanted...

Like I said before, while yes, none of the shit in the novel actually definitively happens in canon, all the novels are still stated to operate under the same logic and world building as the main canon, and is therefore still usable for context and clarification, sorta like how we treat the pokemon anime
