Even if both characters get prep time then Mephiles would know when Fawful was born then time travel to when he was a baby then one shot with the Dark Chaos Lance.

You understand Fawful is limited to base form, right? And if we used Fawful's other forms we'd have to use Solarus. And you don't want that.

Two things, One base Fawful is 4-C, Mephiles is listed as 7-B, two I think this discussion started before Power Stars were used for all the Mario characters to change them from Tier 7 to 4 to Tier 4 flat out.
