the second half i agree with

But the Phantom Thieves scale to Yaldabaoth, who definetely is not scaling higher than Izanami, Nyx, or Kusumi no Okami.
I only oppose most people, who say Joker also don't scale to P3 and P4 fellas, because of Atlus putting them as bosses for one another yes i know this ain't canon, but it is a heavy implication of being somewhat equals

PT have defeated characters above Yalda already, sometimes even in weaker states.

I dont have an issue using those bosses as canon either, i do think "universe arcana" or not that the intent from atlus is for them to be comparable. (the wildcards)

theres actually a fairly easy way to get the stronger members of the PT above people like Izanami and Yalda
 
P5R vs P3R

Joker's got no equips and Makoto's Compendium is at 29% (lol)
Both have all confidants maxed out
Makoto has Orpheus Telos, Messiah, Chi You and Metatron
Joker has Satanael, Satan, Maria and Mada
Speed equal and all lvl99 for convenience sake

High Diff but prob Joker.

Makoto pre Universe isnt that crazy. his biggest feats are mostly Elizabeth and the avatar of the Nyx which can be matched by all the other wild card users.

all of them can defeat the reaper which is canonically above the avatar of nyx, Elizabeth is below Margaret and Yu can defeat her, in fact the gap is wide enough that Elizabeth herself glazes Yu like crazy in arena. when you use Yu's DLC persona in royal it implies Joker has comparable power to Yu. that is to say more or less that the gaps between these characters are pretty small up till now.

the thing is the Holy grail is above the reaper, which would put him above Avatar Nyx, and Yalda is canonically in the original japanese text magnitudes above the holy grail and maruki is above yalda.

So theres a nice clean Joker >

You're also able to use Makoto's DLC personas (and as we have no p4 remake yet, only p3r and p5r have Makoto and Joker as bosses for one another), so i'm quite certain that if this argument still stands, it's more of a skill-based fight, no?
 
yeah i think thats the intent. i think endgame versions from all of them are prob intended to be the same. hell in reload Makoto's universe arcana reuses the world arcana's art lol

that being said Makoto's fusion spells are pretty good + for him.

anyway wonder solos all of them because he can apparently summon cognitive versions of all the wild cards to his team

If the fight takes this long, Makoto's got no reason not to use the last one, and Joker's cooked because he's got no Makarakarn or Magic Mirror lol

But it seems like Makoto's healing is slower while Maria's healing Joker a whole bunch, so i'd be favorable for Joker taking it 70/30 or 60/40

Oh s*, my bad, i read it wrong and thought Mitsuru was accompanied

But won't change much because Yukiko is weak to Ice, so Mitsuru's access to Ice Amp and Ice Boost gets her completely off the game real quick
And she outskills both quite heavily, so when Makoto's alone she's cooked and Yukiko won't have time to try using fire against her lol

Trust, it is Best to wait for the SMT/Persona Revisions to make threads.

And don't forget everyone has access to all the Skill Cards/Equipment and other stuff, making Weaknesses completely moot.
And Wild Cards have ALL Demons/Personas, so Makoto/Kotone also has Maria. Allng with like Yoshitsune, Vohu Manah, etc.

While Ren also has Masakado, Helel, etc.

Question:
Devil Children (at least Black Book afaik, i know very little of the story so far) ends with the protag beating God/Hoshigami and becoming a God

So would he be somewhat in the level of YHVH, Polaris (that world-resetter from Devil Survivor 2), Great Will from Last Bible, etc? Or would he be a bit inferior like Kagutsuchi, the King of Bel(/Devil Survivor 1 protag with all the pieces), etc?

Based on what I know about DemiKids, which ofc is not much… Stargod/Hoshigami seems to be a run-o-the-mill Creator God. So likely scales to SMT III Kagutsuchi. Nothing compared to YHVH or even Last Bible Great Will

I can't see that being the case, because in the end of black book right before the last two bosses we find out his dad is Lucifer and he joins the party, and we saw various instances of [Lucifer+other strong fella >= YHVH > Kagustuchi]
