This should be a relatively straightforward scaling upgrade thread (though regardless of the outcome, I might have to revisit these characters again next year...)

According to the updated edition of the Marvel Studios Character Encyclopedia that came out a couple of months ago, it is directly stated that as a super soldier, Red Guardian has enhanced physical capabilities comparable to Captain America, even if the two never met:

In the same book, Taskmaster is confirmed to have enhanced strength and durability with her suit, with it also being stated that with her ability to replicate fighting styles taken into account, she was able to give Red Guardian the match against Captain America he always wanted:

I don't think Taskmaster being upgraded to super soldier levels would cause scaling issues, considering she easily dominated characters on Black Widow's level and kept forcing them to retreat throughout the movie. I'm pretty sure none of them ever managed to actually damage Taskmaster, and only stopped her by reversing her brainwashing. If Taskmaster is also bumped up to super soldier level, the only other notable scaling anti-feat I can think of for Red Guardian is that Yelena slightly hurt him with a punch at one point.

Just curious, why wouldn’t Black Widow and Yelena scale to Taskmaster? Iirc, during the free fall, Natasha and Taskmaster traded a lot of blows, and when Natasha manages to remove her mask, we see that she drew blood from her since her nose was bleeding

Looked at that scene in 0.25X, and they were mostly grappling with one another, with Natasha only punching Taskmaster once, and that was only after Taskmaster's head got rammed through debris.

Didn’t Taskmaster seem to be out of breath and struggling to get up after Natasha did a take down after removing her mask

I mean, her head got smashed through debris previously, in universe Taskmaster is a crippled woman without her suit so her not having her helmet on would have to be problematic for her, and she was only on the ground for a few seconds and was already getting up, and only seemed out of breath after inhaling the red gas.

Makes sense
