Looks like a minute of a certain fight scene in the Echo series somehow got out and is being circulated around (supposedly through a special look feature on Sky Sports, and not an actual leak, though I'm not 100% certain on that):

Netflix character upgrade next week?

Let's go Daredevil 😈

According to the Infinity War junior novelization adaptation, Destiny Arrives:
Proxima Midnight's staff is specifically described as electric:

Hulk crashed into Thanos with enough force to shake the Statesman:

Thanos overwhelms Hulk with strength that is described as incomparable. Thor's attack on Thanos immediately afterwards is described as weak and embarrassing in effect:

Thanos moves faster than Thor believed possible:

Heimdall considers Thanos to be unlike any enemy the Asgardians had battled:

And of course, here's the book's take on the Tesseract crushing scene:

There is also a statement for the Black Order (specifically Cull and Maw during the NY attack) stating they're the strongest opponents the Avengers had faced up to that point. And Cull in his fight with Iron Man is noted to have "outgunned him in every way possible."

I’m suddenly reminded of Loki and Fury’s conversation about Ant’s and boots, considering how Cull is killed… 💀

What If supports Proxima Midnight's staff being electric

All of this is good support for Thanos being more powerful than Hela but would that break the scaling chain at all?

Hela in Ragnarok and by extension Eternal Flame Surtur
It doesn't seem to break scaling

Depowered Surtur < Thor (With Mjolnir) < Hela (1st Power Up) < Hela (2nd Power Up) < Thor (With Gungir) < Hela (Post 2nd Power Up) < Awakened Thor < Hela (3rd Power Up) < Eternal Flame Surtur (800m) < Eternal Flame Surtur (4km) < Prime Odin < Peak Hela

Awakened Thor < Hela (3rd Power Up) < Eternal Flame Surtur (800m) < Thanos

Worthy Cap ~ Awakened Thor (With Stormbreaker) < Awakened Thor (Stormbreaker & Mjolnir) ~ Thanos < Captain Marvel (At Usual Power Levels) < Wanda (IW & EG)

Hulkbuster (IW) ~ War Machine (IW to EG) ~ Rescue ~ Iron Man (IW to EG) < Cull Obsidian < Giant Ant-Man (EG)

Iron Man (IW to EG) < Worthy Cap < Awakened Thor (With Stormbreaker & Mjolnir)

Gungnir Thor is interesting because never uses its blasting capabilities. It should still have power, given the Worthy enchantment still exists with a broken Mjolnir, and yet Thor chooses to just slash with it. It's perfectly lined up with her chest right before she flips him too.

It could explain why Thor doesn't get pasted against a stronger Hela, though he still broke her Mjolnir breaking hold in the Bifrost, but then Valkryie simply gets pushed aside during the fight.

Accolades of Thanos:

Kevin Feige: “So, within the first five minutes of ‘Infinity War’ people will understand why Thanos is the biggest and baddest villain in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Joe Russo: “It was always the intent, in a larger arc, to split the Avengers up before the greatest threat that they’ve ever seen. Thanos is a virtually indestructible character, which makes him an extremely difficult character to fight.”

Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus: "We want to announce Thanos as the biggest villain in the MCU, he takes out the previous reigning champion, and by defeating Hulk relatively savagely and easily, hopefully there's a sense of dread over the course of the rest of the movie for anyone who will come up against him, and so that's just sort of a scene design."

I think everyone might have forgotten about Dormammu though

Then after defeating Hulk, Hulk became useless

Gungir is also what allowed Loki to physically contend with and take hits from a holding back Thor.

Are we going with the idea that Gungir is the source of Odins strength? Would it not just be the same as Mjolnir and Stormbreaker where they're a conduit for whoever uses them to channel their power?

Don't know why people keep saying that Hela's helmet or Odin's Gungir are the sources of their power? Unless they also think that Mjolnir is the source of Thor's power?

Exactly, I guess some people in this thread just forgot.
All royal blood Asgardians have Super Human Physical Characteristics and Enhanced Senses but each has a different manifestation of their symbolic power?

Odin = Odin Force = BS Anything Magic

Hela = Creating Weapons and limited Magic

Thor = Shoots Lightning out of his ass and limited Magic

So did Odin commission the Giant Dwarves to make Hela's helmet to help control her weapon spam then commission Mjolnir? Or did Mjolnir come first then the helmet after Hela's own "Awakening"?

I don’t think it’s a source of power for Odin or Hela tbh. They asserted Mjolnir wasn’t Thor’s source of power. It’s just Odin’s dominance over their power / power bestowal.

The weapon was also made before Odin was born. It’s a slight inconsistency with emphasis taking Gugnir away from Odin, but as with Thor, their power is not tied to the weapons.

I'd say since Gungir is now a conduit based on What If, separating it Odin makes him less deadly similar to Thor on Sakaar during Ragnarok since they both can't fully channel their powers.

And Cull in his fight with Iron Man is noted to have "outgunned him in every way possible
Which is a straight up lie not only did Tony catch his swing cull could do little to 0 damage to the armor especially not without his weapon and this dude was literally overpowered by spiderman twice and and was koed by him throwing a taxi cull is extremely overrated on this site

Its an outlier for Peter. Not uncomon for low tiers to overperform in big team ups.

Which one was the outlier the 1st time the 2nd time or the 3rd time i hate to break it to you but you can’t say everything is outliers eventually we go with what is consistent which is cull not being as strong as everyone thinks he is on this site

It probably has to do with their power being tied to their gear. Thor is no longer tied to his gear, though he rarely goes full lightning.

Infinity War and Endgame were made at the same time by the same directors who allow Cap to overpower him and not get squashed by Thanos. Under John Watts, Peter is consistantly a mid tier.

The nanotech thing is definitely an interesting moment, because Ock overcame the IS's structural integrity, but it didn't damage it, in contrast to the other times nanotech has been damaged (IS being damaged by the same Sanctuary 2 blast that narrowly missed Bucky and Rocket).

cap didn’t overpower Peter and he didn’t get squashed as thanos was holding back he’s literally the worst argument to use that for cause he was specifically holding back as to not kill everyone that but he was also hit with a massive jobbing to because the infinity stones made him to powerful so he would end the movie to quickly

Point is cull has 0 feats to be the level this site actually has him at instead he has way more feats that put him way below where he’s rated here this honesty needs a crt cause cull wank causes other mid tiers to get scaled way higher then they should be
