You are not reading the entire thing then. How I take the meaning of the sentence is like it's trying to say that how one's soul/psyche acts as the essence of an existence (in many religions), the source is just like that, but it exists even deeper (more fundamental) within the body, than soul, which is why the sentence uses the term "but".

La velocidad va a ser fácil porque como función el mar de plata. Eques es un hormiga comparado con el mortal de la siguiente capa. Y así hasta la capa 99 supongo.
