Manor's Attic (Roleplay)

"Your deity, or at least his bishops, seek to conquer and enslave all living beings including you and the people of Atlantis. To take away the gift of free will is a sin and therefore unacceptable. You and other followers are merely tools to them, pawns in their grand scheme. Do you not understand?"
"Tell me who your Lord is and what he wants, because we have reason to believe that this Temple has been corrupted by wickedness. Maybe that should be enough to change your mind."
"Wickedness...? Slavery...?"

For a moment, the soul went quiet. One could almost sense...confusion, coming from the ethereal remains of the zealot, as if told something both unpleasant and unbelievable. It disappeared as quickly as it emerged, dismissed and rejected.

"No. Enough. ENOUGH! I grow tired of the lies and deceits of non-believers. My time in the mortal coil has come to an end, your powers can only keep him from me for so long..." As if on command, a fearsome burst of light illuminated the island, obscuring the soul from view. When it died down...it had vanished, disappearing into the ether—presumably claimed by the god he had so fiercely served.

"Yeah, I really thought talking to him wouldn't be that productive. What's our next step?"
After their enemy died a few minutes ago, a bonfire appeared, only ashes and a sword. Zib asks while sitting down and once again, above his head and only to him, "B O N F I R E L I T" appears, and now he would reappear here if used something as the bone he gave to Glacius or if...he dies.

"The guy died, we got nothing. We go back to that corridor?"

"We could look for the Nameless One now. To me that would seem to be the best option." Kenneth responded.

Kyros finally suddenly entered the temple, smelling of blood, with a sword lodged into his stomach. Despite the seemingly grievous injury, he walked just as high and mighty as before, trying to find his group once more.

"Hey, I think I found some more information on what this place is-" He paused, taking a moment to stare at the vacated and battle scorned room before him, with the party he was looking for in the center of it all. Rubbing his eyes, the king sighed , before continuing to come towards them.

"What exactly happened here? I thought you guys came in to gather intel!" Kyros asked in frustration.

(Finally back lol)

(The dead body is still there?)

"Do whatever you want with this" he said as he approached the man's corpse, and began to loot it (lmao)

On his person, Glacius would discover a few things of note. While his ornate armor was too mangled to be salvageable, his hammer was almost fully intact—though slightly chipped from when it had clashed with Ashbringer. While It was small, much more akin to a mallet than a traditional Warhammer, it was remarkably heavy which—combined with the resilient craftmanship—made it a rather nice bludgeoning weapon. The bright light previously imbued into the metal was gone now, but perhaps Glaicus could channel his own energy through it, should he desire.

Outside of that, he would find the clothing beneath his armor: A non-descript grey tunic and trousers, almost completely ripped apart by the battle itself. Hung around his neck by a now broken necklace was a jewel, masterfully carved into the shape of a thunderbolt. It had likely been covered by his armor, protecting the jewel itself from harm.

"Yeah, this guy came and said he'd kill us, so we...killed him before it happened." Says Zib giving no more detail

"We could look for the Nameless One now. To me that would seem to be the best option." Kenneth responded.
"How? Where we going to look at?" Zib stood up and went to Kenneth's side to try and get a strategy of where they're going next "y'know, we could see the door right in front of the one we went to enter here, what do you think, of it?"

"Really, I was invited to join the Nameless One. He SHOULD be here because he wants me, and he was acting like he wanted all of us here. It's obviously a trap. . . " Kenny thinks some more. "Whether we see him now or later, I have the distinct feeling we're going to meet him again."

"Good point, indeed. Glacius, I have something you ask you!"
Zib looks at him "would you mind breaking the bone I gave to you? If Kenny's correct and we're trapped, you should be unable to teleport to the bone outside this church. While he tries that, let's try getting out of here by foot, normally, to also test it out. Then, on a more open space we can triangulate if we try searching for Nameless' fake ass and how" zib tells them all not trying to become the leader just because, just getting a direction on how they get outta here.

As an armor and arms collector, he thought of bringing Andre this hammer to get it fixed and added to his collection, at least as one of the bosses he ended, together with his Soul, who can be channeled to create another weapon. He got them and added to his Hammerspace-like inventory

"So you have gone to investigate the activities of this Church? We're here for the same reason as well but as you can already tell, things didn't go as planned. We tried our best to keep a low profile but unfortunately, some scum didn't understand what he was doing.", he said while slowly turning to look at the Doctor.

"Or should I say he completely understood that his action will have severe consequences and still did it anyway?"
"He understood... but no I'm not investigating anyone, that's out of the job description of hitting someone with a sword and healing people." Tathia shook her head
"It's fine. I could only feel sorry for how someone with your looks comes such unappreciation." Yubi replied, "But it's nice to meet you! I hope we can get along nice and fine..."
"We might." Tathia said vaguely, Ashbringer seemingly just attaching itself to her back as she sheathed her sword and scanned her surroundings

"Fine, just let me have a snack," he aswner after Zib took the remains of the armor and the Hammer, Glacius, in two bites, ate the upper part of the man leaving the legs, the reason, because he was hungry and to amplify his power with blood

After leaving a bloody mess of what was left of the guy, he tried to do what Zib asked him to activate the bone to get out of here

(Yep, that is why he is around 6-7 in evil scale)

"Not gonna lie, I thought you wanted the...loot, y'know? But yeah...hope you're not hungry, anymore" says Zib shocked but also found it as a kinda funny joke too

Zib, while waiting for what he called 'Loading Screen', the short time between breaking the bone and teleporting to the bonfire, to turn his face for the Paladin newcomer "Greetings. I'm Zib, you're..?"

"I know exactly what's going through your head right now and I do not like it one bit. Maybe we should have left you back at the Attic...", Mea sighed.
"Don't make me kill you, okay?" Yubi smiled.
"We might." Tathia said vaguely, Ashbringer seemingly just attaching itself to her back as she sheathed her sword and scanned her surroundings
"It's not a might, Tathia. We just need to make you a little more social with people!" Yubi joked, pointing at her sword, "Speaking of which— cool sword, by the way..."

"Yeah, this guy came and said he'd kill us, so we...killed him before it happened." Says Zib giving no more detail
"I see....in that case, I suppose there's nothing that could've been done." He said, accepting Zib's story, still ignoring the weapon lodged in his body.

He turned toward Yubi, surprised to see her doing anything besides being passed out on a horse. "So, the team drunk finally decided to wake up and do something, eh? About damn time." Kyros scoffed slightly, annoyed at her tiresome behavior beforehand.

"Don't kill allies." Tathia grumbled "And I doubt that's a topic or that I can make you go away, but... thank you."

"You had your chance. Go cry to your god then. See what good it brings you.", Mea muttered in disappointment. He turned away and moved towards the statue at the center of the Church, letting Glacius devour the corpse of the servant without objection.

"So, you guys wanna destroy this thing and see what happens? No civilians here so if anything occurs, it's all on us.", he pointed his lance at the idol while asking the rest of the party.

"Be glad this beautiful woman had a convincing argument!" Yubi pouted.
"Don't kill allies." Tathia grumbled "And I doubt that's a topic or that I can make you go away, but... thank you."
"Oh, no need to thank me! I actually wanna see how skilled you are at swinging that thing! Given I'm quite a fanatic at swords."

"And you won't until they piss something off again." Tathia groaned "You know like that sorry excuse for a Paladin's god."

"Extroverted, huh..." Tathia didn't even sound disappointed, she sounded... a bit glad, if tired of the multiverse's bullshit.
"What? C'mon, speak up!" Yubi happily bumps her shoulder to her, "I wanna hear more about your story!"

"She's clearly not interested. Can you stop causing trouble now?"
"I will tell her to leave if and when she starts actually getting on my nerves. Please don't speak for me when I still have vocal cords of my own... frankly, it's a breath of fresh air that someone isn't uptight around me just because I'm a Paladin with a big sword."

"What? Do people get that much scared of ya when you're nearby?" Yubi asked, practically ignoring whoever that fodder spoke

"That might be a bad idea. What if we destroy this idol and then it explodes? We don't know what kind of magic juju we're dealing with. Maybe I could look into the future @Backbackback, and see if it's worth doing."

"It's mostly an instant respect thing. Probably something to do with fear though, yes."
"Fufu, so you're revered by many...." Yubi said, humming to herself, "So, like, what are the things that made you really respected? Won a duel against someone powerful?"

"An actual good person who can heal people tends to be popular... I don't too often fight big things."

"Ohhhh, a healer AND a Paladin? I've never met someone that can heal and fight at the same time. Quite a steep learning curve in my opinion..."

Zib's waiting Glacius' Loading Screen while looking at the strangest of his colleagues, finding it a funny way to lose time

(Let's buy a better AMD for God lmfao)

"Be glad this beautiful woman had a convincing argument!" Yubi pouted.
"There's another female in the group? Could've sworn I accounted for everyone earlier." He raised his brow (or at least, he seemed to underneath his helmet), and turned towards the new presence....
"An actual good person who can heal people tends to be popular... I don't too often fight big things."
....and stopped in his tracks. Kyros stared at her, unblinking, for only a few moments, before recomposing himself with a cough, shaking his head. "No, not again. Not ever again! Not after....her." he thought to himself.

"N-Nice to meet you; don't cause any trouble." The ancient king warned, trying to regain his composure after his momentary faltering.
"Fine, just let me have a snack," he aswner after Zib took the remains of the armor and the Hammer, Glacius, in two bites, ate the upper part of the man leaving the legs, the reason, because he was hungry and to amplify his power with blood

After leaving a bloody mess of what was left of the guy, he tried to do what Zib asked him to activate the bone to get out of here
He successfully activated the bone, sending Zib back to his previous bonfire.

(Ngl Midterms are coming up, so I won't have much time for this, but I'll try my damndest to finish up my term as narrator real quick with a couple more in-depth narrations, unlike this one.)

((Actually, Glacius got out of here if the bone worked out fine, as he's the one linked to the bonfire outside. Imma consider that to make my next action))

((Ok, no prob))

Seeing Glacius get out as intended, Zib concluded that this is not a trap
"Alright. Since we can get out of here, I'll leave up to you if we explode this or not. Really think we should focus on seeing if this door has any other thing or if it's only this church, and if not, getting outta here to focus on seeking other doors...as we don't know this God, we can't know for sure if he can send someone more powerful than this guy. All I know is that I prefer being outside of here and there I will be going."
Says zib, walking out of the church by the front door and both looking around to see if there's anything and seeing what will the others be doing

Once outside the Church, Glacius begins to walk back towards the entrance of the church, he looked around to see if something bad was happening or not.

"There's another female in the group? Could've sworn I accounted for everyone earlier." He raised his brow (or at least, he seemed to underneath his helmet), and turned towards the new presence....

"If you're so nervous around a Paladin I'd think you were up to no good, your 'highness'." Tathia said, her head slowly turning to the man, she checked if he was undead, and once that came up to not be true, she shrugged, and turned back to the one she was conversing with originally.
"Ohhhh, a healer AND a Paladin? I've never met someone that can heal and fight at the same time. Quite a steep learning curve in my opinion..."
"It's basic usage of The Light's blessings. It's certainly not the only things I'm capable of, I have some advanced tricks up my gauntlets." Tathia actually smiled a little

"That is worthy of praise, Miss Tathia!" Yubi appreciated this smile, forming both of her hands into a prayer of sorts, "Say, if we were to find a nice place to eat, it'll be my treat, okay~?"

Kenneth/Kenny/Ken
He leaves the Temple, but uses his powers to basically scan everything for now, before returning to the Archway, to return back to the Manor's endless hallways.

"Fine... and, thanks." Tathia responded, keeping her slight smile as she scanned the area
