Mannequin takes on Park Hayan

Yeah so Mannequin was able to fight both Prism and Battery at once and was nimble enough that they couldn't really do much to him. Prism's a duplicator, Battery's faster than Assault, who's faster than Chariot's tinkertech, which can go 100mph. The speed gap should be fine, with all the weird ways Mannequin can contort and move.

His main ways of actually dealing damage here would be:

  • Stolen nanothorns (matterhax)
  • Toxic gas
  • His shotgun, which could have killed Bastard, which could hurt him. It actually did shoot straight through one of Bitch's other dogs, though Bastard's the strongest of them
She can't really drink his blood because his entire body's a closed system, and all three of those things should be able to destroy a heart. On top of his durability Mannequin is very good at just folding when he takes a hit to absorb very little of the actual energy behind it. How well would you think she'd be able to adapt to his rather unusual capabilities and fighting style? He doesn't gas right off the bat, but was initially just slaughtering civilians and started doing it once Taylor proved herself an actual threat quite quickly.

Well, her Regenerationn is fast enough that weapons won't reach a vampire heart that's why the govern found weapons useless but it was later proven that normal vampires have a limit, the more they are damaged, the slower their Regenerationn while she's the single True Vampire. I'm not sure how her Regenerationn compare.

Her fighting style is more of a brawl one in what it was shown.

Well normal guns aren't 9-A, nanothorn blades just go straight through matter, and inhaled poisons are going to be getting to the heart pretty quickly when the lungs do their job.

A brawler type style probably isn't the greatest against a guy who's able to turn on a dime, easily dip below cars and stuff, contort himself in otherwise impossible positions, and actually take her hits to boot. Basically every one of his limbs can act like a grappling hook.

He wouldn't know off the bat to go for the heart (though it's a pretty normal lethal area, shooting guns at center mass is standard, and he doesn't need to aim poisonous gas), but I think he could figure it out pretty quickly. He's a genius Tinker specializing in surviving hostile environments and has worked a lot with Bonesaw, I'd think he'd be quite the authority on methods of bolstering survivability. He did do it to himself, after all.

Anyway I guess I'll vote Mannequin here, though it's not like the thread can be added

How strong/versatile are Park's blood manipulation abilities?

As for Mannequin's weapons, would the poison gas work as well on a vampire as it does on whatever it was actually designed for? Or does Mannequin have the ability to tinker with the formula on a whim? Or would it not matter? The shotgun and nano-blades are definitely dangerous, but the nano blades do have a problem: they're small. Against anything with particularly potent Regenerationn the tiny cuts/penetrative wounds that they'd create would leave so little space between the damaged tissue, and the wounds would be so clean, that they'd seal almost immediately.

So that leaves his shotgun as his best offensive tool, unless there's something I'm missing like the nano-blades staying embedded or something. The shotgun certainly seems powerful enough to be a serious threat, but there are a couple of things in Park's favor: Mannequin isn't going to know that destroying her heart is the only way to kill her, he won't know about her regen until it kicks in, and he's a ****** who prefers to torment and torture his enemies/victims rather than being pragmatic about killing them. Park can take advantage of those, if she stays on top of things which is by no means a guarantee.

I think the biggest problem Park faces is actually Mannequin's defensive options rather than his offensive ones. The way he can contort his body and the fact that all of his organs are cordoned off from each other is a big advantage for him. His reaction time is good enough that her speed won't give her much, if any, advantage either. She does seem to have a pretty clear advantage in raw strength, but that only matters if she can hit him.

Right now I'm leaning towards Park and kind of picturing this battle going kind of like the Mountain vs. The Red Viper in GoT: Mannequin will do more damage early on and appear to be the clear winner, but his penchant of sadism, Park's regen, and her strength will all matter in one critical moment that snatches the victory for her. Though, I only know what's on each of their profiles, so...I could definitely be wrong, LOL.

The vampire doesn't have poison resistance listed, and it killed people fine. Armsmaster's knife was like a combat knife from what I remember, and given that hearts are normal vitals it's not really a stretch for him to go for that. I don't really remember mannequin messing with people he didn't have any sort of connection to like that, Bonesaw was the one more into the experiments. On the durability front, Mannequin's undamaged by 9.43kg and she's 14.71kg. She's able to hurt him for sure, but the fact that he wasn't damaged by the thing he scales to at all, his slipperiness, and pseudo immortality 2 make me think she's not exactly going to be able to easily smash through him.

Er, given that his sadistic nature is explicitly listed as a weakness in his profile, I think I'm safe in assuming it will affect his behavior. You are correct about the knife; for some reason I thought he fired nanoblades as a kind of projectile. It's true that the heart is a vital spot and a good target, and if he stabbed her with intent to kill it might work. I'm not sure if her regen ability doesn't affect her heart at all or if the limitation simply means that if her heart is fatally damaged she can't regenerate it and will die. If she can regenerate her heart to some degree, she could likely survive a single stab wound.

The poison I was wondering if it wouldn't affect her, or wouldn't affect her as much, because she isn't a normal human, she's undead. Even if the gas would affect her...she's got regen, so if she breathed it in her system should heal before it could kill her.

Now, as for her smashing him, yes...her feat calc is 16.2kg (that's what I see on her feat calc page, though it's possible I'm looking at the wrong one...), but that's her as a 12 year old. Her adult self would be considerably stronger. She's strong enough to generate shockwaves when she attacks, in fact, and that's what I think will help her overcome Mannequin's agility: she won't have to hit him directly at first, just bop him around enough to close the distance. And even if Mannequin has a pseudo-Immortality type 2 (which isn't listed on his profile), Park has actual immortality types 2 and 3.

Those combined with her huge strength advantage are probably enough for her to pull out a victory eventually, but she has another trick: drinking blood fully doubles her power. So if she manages to put a crack in one of Mannequin's self-contained organ environments and drink any of the blood it contains, she will quickly become something well outside his ability to deal with.

I absolutely do not think this is a one-sided fight - just the opposite, actually - but I do think that Park has the tools to win more than she'd lose, if only by a slim margin.
