Making Wizard101 Great Again Part 1: The Basics

(Kudos to @Ben_CleverName for all of his help, as well as @Zenkaibattery1)

It's no secret that Wizard101's profiles/pages on this site are incredibly outdated, despite the verse having been well-known in the past for how haxxy it was.

Thus, as someone who was a huge fan of the game growing up, I have decided to, with the help of others, modernize the verse's pages.

Here's the proposed replacement for the P&A of The Player, which also includes his abilities from the 4th Arc of Wizard101:

Here's the proposed revision for Shadow Magic

And here's the proposed P&A revision for the Song of Creation

Part 2 will focus on revising the God Tiers.

Seeing as to how you cooked with Marvel, I'm excited. Just a note, when you link Shadow Magic in one of the pages, remember to make sure it isn't the raw 'Shadow Magic (Wizard101)' code.

I agree with everything presented btw. Excellent work!

Much appreciated, my friend!

Just trying to get the hax revisions in before Ben makes the verse 1-A.

Given that a lot of this is based on what I found and put on my CSAP pages, I naturally agree with most of these changes. I would like to change one thing, however, which is left over from the current Song of Creation page:
Sound Manipulation (The song was so loud that it overwhelmed Morganthe and killed her)
Obviously, the Song of Creation has Sound Manipulation. It's implied in its name, but this is misrepresentative of what happened. First and foremost: We don't even know that Morganthe has died. It's heavily implied, yes, but the writers have gone on record saying they don't want to confirm or deny that possibility at the moment. Second: This is in reference to the end of Arc 2 after the Player defeats her in combat; Morganthe tries to use the combined strength of the Song of Creation and Shadow Magic, but she wasn't strong enough to control the power she was drawing on and lost control. This lead to her falling into an abyss.

...Someday soon, maybe. I'd prefer waiting for the hype to die down first before approaching the topic myself, and to wait and see if any relevant pages/abilities are updated to align more with current standards. If someone wants to beat me to it, then go ahead, if you know the actual arguments.

As someone who grew up with Wiz and still has a level 54 fire mage named Kyle, I am very excited!
BASED.

My fire wizard was level 82 before I stopped, his name is Arthur Firehunter.

If she's not in the next Pirate101 arc despite them teasing a female sorceress being the bad guy, then she might as well be dead.

But yeah, I'll change the justification.

The accepted stuff has been applied, so this can now be closed.

For a small reference, the next revisions will focus on the God Tiers as well as giving the Player a key for Arc 4 since I somehow gave him P&A for a key he doesn't have.

The page was still unlocked, so I went ahead and added the extra key in. Staff can naturally feel free to double check and see that this was all I did.

I still need to give him stats for that key rip
It would be a part of this content revision, would that not be allowed? Of course it would've been more ideal to add it during the initial edits but the profile is still open and it would not be difficult to add that stuff in. I didn't put it in because I wasn't thinking about it, I kind of just went to include Arc IV in certain parts of the page.

The changes look fine.
Looks alright.
@Elizhaa

I’ll check everyone else when I’m home
Thoughts on what Ben said?

I went ahead and added the key more formally on the player's profile. I think this thread can genuinely be closed now, there's nothing else to do that I know of.

His high godly regen was accepted for his arc 3 key, actually, not sure why it was removed and changed to just resistance. Should be moved back to his arc 3 Key and justified as him regenerating after being conceptually devoured by the Devourer

The feat in question is more appropriately labeled as a Resistance feat in my opinion given the context. First: the Player was never actually "killed"/destroyed by the Devourer. They were swallowed and then spat out, and that resulted in them taking damage. However, they can still otherwise be threatened by the Devourer, and if done at the right point (i.e if their HP/resist is low enough) then they can die to the Devourer's gimmick. Regeneration implies that something was destroyed but was regenerated after the fact, but that doesn't happen in the Devourer fight unless the Player goes out of their way to cast Guardian Spirit (which is more like Healing/Resurrection than Regeneration). This is in contrast to the fight against the Aethyr Titan in which it is literally impossible for the Player to be defeated. Even if their HP reaches 0 somehow the Player will just heal and keep going.

so no high godly regen for the player?

They should still retain it with the Paradox Essence and their Arc IV keys. Plus Guardian Spirit is pretty much equivalent to it in effect, it's just that it has to be cast beforehand (although it can still be cast as long as the Player has mana).
