Lugia upgrade/Hoopa downgrade?

Pokemon The Movie- Hoopa and The Clash of Ages. Full Movie English Dub
Pokemon The Movie- Hoopa and The Clash of Ages. Full Movie English Dub.-0

So in the movie Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, Hoopa Unbound gets its ass knocked around by Lugia and doesn't even get a hit in until Lugia is distracted. Lugia otherwise dodged all of Hoopa's attacks and smacked him around like a bitch. Lugia is so impressive a fighter here that Hoopa is forced to BFR Lugia with his wormholes/rings. And Lugia was such a beast he bolted right back towards the portal for another round before Hoopa closed it. Lugia was having none of Hoopa's shit.

Does this warrant reconsidering either's standing?

The timeframe should've already been in the link. Regardless-

Arrival of Lugia, dodging Hoopa's attacks, returning fire

Smacking Hoopa around

Forcing Hoopa back into the fight

Dodging Hoopa's attacks, smacking him around some more

Dodges six attacks from Hoopa at once, Hoopa gets a lucky shot while Lugia's distracted, Lugia gets back up for more, Lugia owns Hoopa, Hoopa BFR's Lugia, Lugia comes back for more, Hoopa closes portal

If Hoopa bodied Regigigas, Reshiram, and Zekrom all at once, this would seem to imply a stronger Lugia than a weaker Hoopa. That said, since this is drastically superior to all of Lugia's other feats, it should preferably get a tage for HatCoA.

This wasnt Unbound Hoopa this was Shadow Hoopa who was on a complete rampage like it did 100 years ago. Otherwords a weakened Hoopa who was split from the original Hoopa. Not a downgrade at all for Hoopa

I am uncertain. Pokemon is extremely inconsistent from medium to medium. Perhaps it would be best to ask LordAizenSama about this?

it's very likely a different Lugia from the one seen in Movie 2000,

So maybe another key for the lugia in this movie it would be ok?

A seperate tab would be best. Even if it was the same Lugia, theirs always a chance that it got stronger over the time between movies.

I suppose that a separate key might be acceptable.

But isnt that kind of speculative? I mean theres no real way to tell for certain if it's the same Lugia from movie 2000. It isnt a case like the Rayquaza, Latias and Latios that were summoned since they have clear differences. But for Lugia? It doesnt seem to be the case here but that's just me.

Well regardless, it doesn't change the fact that the Lugia seen in the Hoopa movie is clearly stronger than the one we see in 2000.

Well, as Aizen mentioned, it would have a separate key.

The fact that a Country level entity overwhelmed a multi-continent entity should have cast this into question. There is no evidence any of the involved Legendary were depicted at their highest capacity. In fact, the very opposite.

Noticed a decision has already been made but I simply wanted to give my opinion.

Well a decision was made but no changes yet.

So, why can't there be a separate tab for this movies lugia? I'm not entirely sure what the issue is

There can be, but only if we consider Hoopa to be superior to Multi-Continent beings in a setting where we have no idea whether they're at full power right now.

Hoop and the Clash of the ages is one of the most inconsistent movies in the franchise with the power of the Legendary Pokemon wholly dependent on plot.

It would probably be safer to leave Hoopa at unknown until we get legitimate feats from the character.

I suppose that makes sense.

Well is game Hoopa a legit Key on here? IIRC In the ORAS games Hoopa was capable of using its rings to trap all of the pokemon shown in the movie plus Ho-oh, the lake trio and i think another legendary in unknown places in Hoenn so that the player could take them after battling them. Should that be noted for something since the Games are the primary canon?
