Luffy's Intelligence downgrade

Right now Luffy is rank as "Combat genius" however the WCI arc prove that Luffy is very stupid when it come also to fighting

it took him 4 hours(!!!) to grasp and realise that katakuri can see the future ,despide the fact that he had a prior knowledge about the existence of advanced kenbunshoku haki users and the fact that he saw and heard lot of signs which clealy indicate that katakuri can see the future during the wedding and yet he was so stupid that he couldnt even realise that

he definitely not a Combat genius.

PIS. I can tell you for sure this isn't enough to ensure a downgrade. We don't know what Luffy was think while fighting Katakuri. He could have thought the sounds were time stop.

As well as thinking that Katakuri is just way faster than him

That was definitely PIS. If he was that stupid, he wouldn't have lasted a minute against all the major antagonists he's faced.

At the beginning maybe,in the first few minutes.. he probaly could think so

But the fact the couldn't realise that Kata can see the future or the fact that such possibility didn't even come to his mind for hours it straight up pure stupidity,

Luffy literally heard Bege said that Kata "saw a future" and yet he didn't realize or suspect what that mean

He heard that Kata somehow know that Luffy aimed for Mother picture and things like Kata know what he going to say next before luffy ,(for example Kata say Grear 4 before Luffy declare so etc) and yet Luffy didn't suspect a thing .

He said himself latter that Kata moments seem a bit weird as he aim for where Luffy try to dodge and he still not put two and two together( and i remind you again that Luffy has prior knowledge about the existence of advanced kenbunshoku haki users)

Only after almost 4 hours Luffy's brain was able to finally unrderstand that Kata has advanced kenbunshoku hak,and even that was by accident and not due to some realization from Luffy himself and all the obvious clues from before, but due to the fact and Kata got angry and lose his Haki,which give Luffy new clues since he so stupid that he needed that in order to understand Kata's ability.

Remember that time when he punched Croco in the last fight even knowing he hadn't water with him but still punched him with his blood and was so sure about that?

Remember that time when he developed Gear Second and Gear Third with creativity alone to solve the problem for speed and power?

aight seems u dont understand somethings here first ill agree with Calaca Vs cus u cant just ingore all those feats and the fact that luffy came upo with gear 4 and say oh one bad feat means hes dumb secondly luffy did know that kata could see into the future what he didnt know was that kata could see into the future rapidly anytime he wants.

what was confusing luffy was why cant he hit him eventho he should be able to hit even logias it was the fact that kata could rapidy use future sight to dodge any incoming attack that threw luffy off. so basically what happened was that luffy underestimated katas fututre sight.

oh and a little debunk to add katakuri himself said it was impressive that luffy found out his strong point was observation haki so unless katakuri whose never lost a fight up till luffy is an idiot i dont see why luffy should get a downgrade in intelligence

This honestly seems like no issue. It's just for plot to keep it suspended and going.
