Luffy is similar to Sairaorg who gave Issei a super hard time. Divide only makes it slightly easier for him. It's far from an extremely easy win, but let's not derail.

First divide, might end this fight, he could likely divide luffy's haki. In less than a second, luffy would be back in Pre-Timeskip level, any longer he might be back to Start of series level and so on. Key to luffy winning would be if he could blitz and hit one of his King hits, but speed equal so he dies
