Loop Hero General Discussion

Hey, you guys still working on this project ?? Loop Hero really deserves a page on the vs wiki, maybe i can help?

As said, I'm still working on my blog, and I've also been drafting other aspects of the profiles off-site.

With the way I'm doing things, I don't think there's too much room for help other than:
  • Critiquing the work I've already done.
  • Gathering some obscure scans (I still need to have a fight with "%:1(" recorded, I'd like a screenshot of the "Spider web" effect's tooltip, I'd like to record Ghost of a Ghost and Prime Matter spawning, and I'd like to record Prime Matter killing the Hero on its 6th attack while attacking an ally, and Prime Matter killing the hero on its 12th attack; you'd need Necromancer and a charge of resurrection for this last one).
Other than that, all I need to do is keep looking through and uploading the scans I've already taken.

After 8 months I've come back to update the blog some more.

I've also found some more scans I need:
  • Get a scan of Blood path spawning
  • Get a scan of the Village providing a bounty, a scan of the buff that confers, and a scan of them providing a reward for the quest
  • Get a scan of the spawn conditions for Overgrown Field
  • Get a scan of the spawn conditions for Shipwreck
  • Get a scan of the spawn conditions for Goblin Lookout
  • Get a scan of Goblin Lookout still spawning goblins
  • Get a scan of the spawn conditions for Hungry Grove
  • Get a scan of the spawn conditions for Reed
If no-one else grabs 'em I should be able to get them myself later, tho.

Fuuuuuuck, I just happened across this video which shows that there's a limited edition Loop Hero Encyclopedia, which includes new lore, is fairly expensive on the second-hand market, and doesn't seem to have any online versions....

Rough.

Oh! I have that (The Encyclopedia part, anyway)

I'm not sure how much of the information is new, really. a HUGE chunk of it is just the lore entries you already find in the game, alongside some more artwork.

Oh shiiiiit.

I saw that there was some new information for the secret bosses; dialogue that isn't seen in the main game from them.

If you could take pictures of all the new information (and new art too if it seems like there's any feats implied there), that would be a HUGE help.

Here is all the information I saw in relation to the secret bosses, nothing too much of use I think. If I come across anything new I'll post pictures here.

That box about the True Creators is definitely useful. The other stuff feels like a bit of a nothingburger. Although the idea of stone tablets older than their entire world is kinda funny, might be worthwhile support for the True Creators scaling above Omega.

Is there anything about the other secret characters, like the Frog King, or the jumbled mash of characters?

From what I can see in the video, it looks like most of the pages are just a better-formatted version of the in-game encyclopedia, not worth taking pictures of. But keep an eye out for stuff outside of that main section, any introduction, afterword, interesting art, etc.

Finally done with the main brunt of the blog. All I've got left are the supplies, traits, and some scans about other things I've neglected to get. This should represent almost all of the non-tier-9 feats, and cosmological stuff.

Forgor to respond my b.

I checked and there's nothing that would really be worth mentioning. Just some basic information about them and their traits, nothing that couldn't be found in-game.

Most of the artwork isn't really worth noting, but these might be decent for understanding how large some landscapes/objects are, maybe.

The first one is new, but the other two are cropped images from the first cutscene.

Damn, thanks for checking tho!

Okay, I'm now definitely done with the blog (aside from checking whether bosses should also get the lightning anti-feat). Still a fair bit away from profiles:
  • Gotta do some feat collection for abilities and their explanations.
  • Gotta reformat my notes into proper profiles.
  • Gotta select actual ends for various parts of the cast.
  • Probably will have to do some actual calcs once I select those ends.
  • Might have to draft a thread arguing with @LIFE_OF_KING about some ratings and abilities.
But all the evidence for discussions has been obtained and laid out now.

I've started posting respect threads for the common enemies on Reddit. Those include the feats that'll make up their profiles, outside of their physical stats.

This doesn't so much represent a step of making the profiles here for vsbw, but it's emblematic of the feat collection and interpretation I've already done for these fellas.
