Lookism Discussion Thread

I think its best to divide them using stuff like, certain milestones more than arcs? Like the introduction of masteries/kings, then paths, etc

We don't need absolutely every arc, only those where there's a significant change in the characters' scale. For example, Lil Daniel, despite training with Vasco and having multiple copies, we consider that he didn't experience any change in scale until he trained with Sophia.
I am willing to help out with every series except questism, you guys are on your own for that one💀

Even with ADHD meds it was still such a chore to read through it again, you can tell which characters on my notes are from questism because I couldn't even be bothered to annoate their names lmao

I haven't read Questism myself, or at least not yet, though I eventually have to in order to update Johan's profile. But the point is, we'll start with the Lookism arcs.

Where do you guys want me to start? Cuz there is technically some minor power creep during the first few dozen chapters with the Gian high school that already establishes J high as being freakishly strong even when lookism wasn't super human (speaking of why was Gian high school in particular a reoccurring villain for so many arcs lmao)

We had the dude with glasses that abused his GF that Zack used as a punching bag (he is also the 'hots! Hots!' guy that spoke to the 3 upper class men from Gian that wanted to jump Zack after they saw him crying while drunk before they got beat up by him at the library and him beating them up became a running gag lol)

And then we finally have the trio of dorks that scammed people online using shoes and their leader that was an amateur boxer like Zack, we were shown that each of them could take out a Judoka that were shown to be both pretty tall, and weight a lot/muscle mass AND knew judo, and Zack pretty much slimed them out by himself including one shooting their leader the same way Daniel one shot him by punching him in the stomach lol

Part 1: Chapter 1 through 38 chain scale
So we have Yong Lee (he is younger than his upper classmen and just generally portrayed as a bum who can only beat up those weaker than him and who doesn't know how to fight) < his upper class men(Yong Lee felt confident that his 3 upper class men could beat Zack, after he lost to Zack, later on another bully similar to him also felt confident that the upper class men could beat up Zack so there is a consistent pattern of these 3 being stronger) < Judoka (because of their build and knowing Judo, I don't see the 3 bozos being able to overpower them especially since they have no martial arts knowledge and have smaller builds) < Woojin's underlings (the surpise kick guy one shotted a Judoka and supposedly has a black belt in taekwondo though given that he can only fo a surpise kick I somehow doubt that, the other underling is also both stronger than and better than the judoka at Judo) < Woojin (stated he is the strongest among the trio and is also the top dog at his high school, felt confident taking on Zack even after Zack beat both of his underlings, could also handle Zack's jabs slightly better compared to his underling who got one shot from having their head slammed into a wall by an injured Zack, and the other one who couldn't even react to Zack's jabs) ~ BOS Zack (they should scale around the same as Woojin was able to take out Zack with surpise jabs but Zack was also able to keep up while injured and one shot him by targeting his stomach the way Daniel did, in a fair fight at full HP I still see Zack winning due to better narrative and feats)

There is also that gangster dude with a bat who is apparently from Syheon's school, he is from the call out arc though he is fodder as Zack with broken(?) arms basically low diffed him lol so I am not gonna include him on the chain scale as at best he would maybe scale to Woojin's underlings

I know this all probably doesn't sound relevant but it could tie into questism scaling as that boxer guy Zack beat was the top dog at Gian school if that means anything or has any scaling implication, as I know questism has some earlier series calcs with Syheon breaking a closet door that we can maybe use for BOS J high?

Could technically scale BOS J high to one of these 3 calcs or slightly lower/higher

Edit: I completely forgot post training Jin Jang is in questism and he has A+ stats meaning neither of these 3 are applicable as BOS J high should scale way below that version of Jin Jang, darn QwQ

I'll get to the actual relevant stuff tomorrow since its late, this is kind of just an example, any suggestions to what I can add to the chain scale are welcome! Good night guys :3

I think at least the first one might be applicable as while Syheon DID use maximum capacity (meaning he weight 160 something pounds) his strenght and speed was still at E rank and at most with thr card it should maybe be S rank/S+, I feel like you could make an argument for BOS J high at least partially scaling to it imo

Btw can I get some input on this? Specifically if any of the questism calcs could be usable to scale BOS Jay high? Since our first lookism calc appears all the way in chapter 200 something (hostel when Logan tanks a motorcycle exploding)

Or should I just move on to part 2 of the chain scale?

That's why I think RQ gaps the majority of street-fighting manhwas. Even if they scale below in physical stats, it has better hax than anyone in this category like Hanlim Gym (Blue String) , Lookism, Killer Peter, or any other fighting manhwa.
With the sole exception of Questism.
They've got an abundance of much crazier hax distributed to a majority of the cast.

Igy there. Do you want it to be chainscaling off of stats or including abilities/who would win realistically in a fight?

Ehhh, not really. BOS Jay doesn't have scaling to the other J High students at time to my knowledge.

But if we assume he's physically weaker than BOS Vasco, then he'd only be B-level at most. (Worker Executive scaling starts at A+ in Questism via Post-Training Jin Jang's stats).
Jin Jang even before his Samuel training would put insane hands on a lot of the BOS cast, considering how he was easily destroying Vasco until he used Muay Thai (Fake Bank Account, Chapter 169-170).

I was mostly joking, I'll get to it eventually I just have to properly rename all the characters but help would be greatly appreciated, I am pretty knowledgeable on questism haxs wise, I just really don't want to reread a third time😭

Though we are gonna do lookism first, which is what I am gonna help out with

Yeah if you read further up you'll notice I edited one of my comments because I remembered post training Jin Jang exists lol

As for hostel scaling I think Jay and Logan can be used to scale most of J high (even if they are weaker or stronger than them during that arc) as they should all be within the same range

We also know that Vasco did get stronger in hostel compared to when he fought Jin Jang with Muai Thai so I think it should be fine probably?

Kk, let me know when you start getting to Questism. Scaling that series is my forté.
