I've been legit curious about this one for awhile actually, so figured we could see how this would pan out.

Plot: Loid has been requested to take a trip to Vegas in order to defeat a mysterious gambler named Darby, who has been rumoured to take the souls of those he defeats. A game has been arranged for the pair and the loser isn't walking out in one piece.
  • Speed is equalised
  • The game being played is Texas Hold Em Poker, both have 5000 dollars to start with
  • Loid has had a day to learn the game and knows Darby is a cheat and his soul is lost should he lose.
  • Darby has a day to prepare how he likes.
  • Match ends when one of them goes bust or gives up.

Loid is to smart here, he defeated professional tennis players with just normal practice. Thus meaning he won't have trouble defeating even a skilled and experienced gambler like D'Arcy

I mean Darby has a day to prep and do something like have the dealer in his pocket, plus Darby outsmarted Joseph Joestar who could outsmart the pillar men on the regular if that counts for anything.

Joseph is old at the time, no way D'Arby matches young Joseph in intelligence

I wouldn't really use age as a knock off on Joseph, like with Heihachi it's something that doesn't really apply to their stats. Joseph was able to outwit stand users too and said age wasn't hindering him all that much

Bruh look at his profile, old Joseph is not like his young self

Since what matter here is purely intelligence then should be noted Loid intelligence feats:

Is able to to read and memorize the contents of several books in a matter of seconds by simply flipping the pages fast. Readed the profiles of hundreds if not thousands of womans and perfectly memorized them all. Memoriez the intelligence manual of a enemy governmental agency word to word. By just flipping through files in a short time he perfectly memorized the characteristics of 200 different species of penguis, along with their names, and could identify them even better than someone who dedicated to take care of them for years, and he also instantly developed a pattern to make the penguis move exactly as he wanted to especifically isolate his target and open a path to it. By just casually practicing tennis with his family for some days he learned to play the game better than professionals players who are legends that dominated for ten years, and in that same day when others (with super equipment btw) used tricks like shotting at him from different directions, move the web, lower their footing and blow strong wind he calculated all those factors and overwhelmed his opponents.

Loid senses should also help him a lot to detect when there is some trick getting used, and his social influencing similarly can help him to manipulate both the dealer or Daniel.

Okay so thought about this, if Loid seems to stomp here how about we put the Courier vs him in a poker match?

What's stopping Darby from just using his stand to just like, straight up cheat and peek at loids hand?
