The only time I can think of Lloyd being in this type of situation is when he was facing Nadakhan. He didn't make any wishes until it he was truly in danger right?

Bill's first move is Transmutation more often than not. He only makes a deal when he needs something from someone. If Lloyd doesn't resist it, then Bill snaps

Not USM Lloyd, but Skybound Lloyd actually got turned to gold and got stuck.

Then again, Lloyd was weak at the time and had his movements slowed becuse he was an old man.

USM Lloyd should also have better reactiontime.

I don't think Lloyd actually has a way to bypass Bill's regen
