Liu Kang's Transmutation? A thought...

I just had an idea, we give Liu Transmutation based on him turning Kronika to glass. But there's this to consider: Kronika is capable of manipulating and even turning into sand.

If you superheat sand, what do you get? Glass.

So really, is it Liu Kang transmutating her or is it just an interaction between their respective elements that they manipulate? Thoughts?

Is Kronika made of sand? Nope, she's a flesh and blood being as shown in the cutscenes featuring herself.

I'm not sure of his transmutation hax either since it has Likely before the ability, but I'd appreciate some thoughts on this

He just hits her with his Fire and turns her into what appears to be Glass, right ?

Could be transmutation into a Glass-like material or just what happens to Kronika when she dies, however the same doesn't happen in the arcade ending, since she gets her head sliced but doesn't instantly changes like in the story, so, the difference between the scenes is Liu Kang's fire, I guess Transmutation can work then

Looking back at the Aftermath trailer, Liu Kang also affected Kronika's crown with his transmutation. So the sand point is moot.
