You listed Ocarina of Time Link on the topics and in the vote count. Smash Link is Composite Link.
But alas, lemme make an outcome for both Links.
If only limited to his smash moveset, Ocarina link has normal arrows, bombs, Boomerangs and the master sword.
Roy is able to easly tank attacks from Holy Weapons and even the sword of seals itself (Manga only) on his base form, and with the Sword of Seals's extended attack, he essly stomps Ocarina Link in range. Link's Master Sword, while powerful, it wont affect Roy since he is not evil. Not to mention that Roy can also Seal Link's soul with his blade.
9/10 in Roy's favor.
Now, Composite Link. Link has wind manipulation thanks to the wing boomerang. His range is still far inferior to Roy's, tho.
Link gets a way better chance on this fight, His barriers can keep him alove from Roy's attacks, but even if the mirror shield could reflect the Sword of Seals's attacks, Roy can take a couple of strikes before figuring out a strategy or closing distance between the two.
I still think Roy has this because he still has the range advantage and soul manipulation, not to mention Ocarina link's teleportation is useless in this scenario.
What's Roy's soul manipulation like? That's the deciding factor, as from what I know, the Sword of Seal's range isn't really combat applicable, as it just shook Elibe, which while impressive, ain't exactly gonna help other than a little bit of disorientation. So in terms of practicality, Link outranges Roy.
Hartmut did not destroy Idenn's soul. The Dragons did that to turn her into a War Dragon that would follow their commands.
In addition, Sealing and Weather Manipulation should be taken off his powers list since he can't use them at will and has not displayed either use in the game or the story.
It's a misunderstanding that correlated Hartmut putting Idenn to sleep out of pity to the Dragons' decision to destroy Idenn's soul after turning her into a Demon Dragon as a weapon.
Roy still doesn't have Soul Manipulation. That's my point. He hasn't used the Sealing function of the Sword of Seals either (though I may be wrong given that Idenn lived through the finale of the True Ending).
I understand that, but if Roy hasn't used that particular function nor has he shown the ability to use it in combat, then it shouldn't be on his profile.
I might put Sealing back due to the True Ending of FE6 where he deals the final blow to Idenn yet she survives, but Weather Manipulation is not a voluntary thing he can call upon.
And once again, Roy cannot affect the soul. The Dragons were the one to destroy Idenn's soul, not Hartmut.
