I don't think everyone here is on the same page about how this works.
A versus thread is not where character statistics are decided. CRT's are. And if a CRT is accepted, it's added to their profile.
You can't argue here that a character does or does not have something and have it actually apply to the match. If you think they do or do not have something, you make a CRT about it.
Versus Matches use what's on the profiles, as that is what has been evaluated and accepted through the process already. If it's not on their profile, then either make a CRT to put it on the profile or else it's not applicable.

And claims such as Link resisting fear and madness, yet the only mind manip resistance feat he has is resisting mind control.
And also the weird claims of "Link can withstand madness type 3 because he fights eldritch beings like Majora." Thats just... Completely arbitrary and unproven. We go off shown abilities through feats and statements, we can't just assume fighting a weird alien creature autmoatically makes you able to withstand Insanity inducement when no form of insanity inducement has been shown and resisted.

Alright, here we go with this.
Firstly, what in the makes you think Link's NPI works on Non-Existence? His NPI works on things that don't have a physical form, but still have something like a soul on immaterial form. In short, they still exist to some degree. Mundus, quite literally, does not. Link has never once shown the ability to attack anything at all that just flat out does not exist. NPI can negate Non-Existence if it has the feats to show it, but Link has never done this, at all. This is blatant wank.
And secondly, The Triforce of Courage does not negate madness hax. At most, fear hax, but it has never once been shown to do so. And Link has never once fought eldritch beings, if that even was a point in the first place. The closest is Nightmare and Majora, but neither of those have Madness Hax or Fear Hax, at all. Resisting Mind Control does not mean you resist these either.
Not that fighting an "Eldritch Being" is a point in any way, shape, or form. Being called something doesn't mean you suddenly have abilities that other things called that have. It's why we don't scale Azathoth (Cthulhu Saves The World) to Azathoth (Cthulhu Mythos). They are not the same characters, they have not shown the same feats, so we do not scale them. ...it just hit me how that came off. In my defense KoS's comment coming in after I gave the apology still proceeding to blast me did influence it.
I have nothing against DMC. Not since Kep and Para saved my ass on a thread and I owed them. And even more so when Glass talked to me about how much he loves the series. The comment was only out of anger, not of anything I believed. Well, maybe I did mean some of it but it wasn't meant to come out ever. And I mean that, not trying to be passive aggressive. And yes, the DMC ratings are far more reliable than the Zelda ratings. So I'd be a massive hypocrite to say otherwise. I looked farther into it and realized that I'd have to be a total no-life to continuing arguing over something so petty and meaningless. It's a versus match. How much influence does this have over at most a day? No use angering people I'll never meet for something so small, especially given we could easily be friends without the animosity. With the adrenaline having diminished, I see that the entire ordeal is embarrassing on my part, and worst part is it's not the only time. Heck, I was gonna throw Mundus against Vecna out of spite to see if you guys would argue there before I calmed down. Which is stupid and unfortunately in character of me when I feel spiteful. And that's something I need to work on. The entire ordeal was unnecessary and shows how much my anger can make things take a turn for the worse.
That's my honest apology. So I ask again, as earnestly as I can, we cool?
